Best vegan Bistro in Oslo? - Edit
I love the dhal, burgers, and raw Cakes/Desserts here. It’s a great spot for a snack, an amazing brunch, or an early dinner. The prices are great for the value and portion size in my opinion😄

Nice vegetarian cafe - Edit
Fragrance of the Heart is a vegetarian cafe with soup, Dahl, avocado toast and many cakes. The staff were helpful in pointing out which items on the hot food menu were vegan, the cakes are marked vegan or vegetarian.

With kindness made healthy food. - Edit
Happy there were so many vegan options. Also many non-dairy milk.
Read moreEnjoyed sitting there. Took two cakes, they were good. Not the over-sweet kinds. Bought a card, borrowed a pen, while my daughter was on the wifi. Just typical modern-parent-kid moment after a walk through The Vigeland park.
Pros: Many non-dairy milk options, Healthy, Very kind staff

Delicious, healthy food - perfect for a rainy day - Edit
Cozy cafe with an almost fully vegan menu. Most of the food is very healthy - they have soups, curries, bowls, etc. Lots of seating space that invites to stay there for a while.

Charming vegetarian cafe - Edit
Charming, little bit old style vegetarian cafe where most foods, but not all, are vegan. I've liked thisplace a lot during the years. This time I took away ready made auinoa salad that had tofu, hummus, veggies, tahini sauce. Lentil soup was tasty, too.

Hidden gem - Edit
It was purely coincidence that we run into this restaurant. Officially it closes at 18.00 hr, and we came here 17.55, but we could still sit here and eat. The food was amazing, fresh and delicious. Staff was so amazing and kind, definitely recommend this place 100%.

Unfortunately underwhelming food - Edit
I went here for brunch over the weekend. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy and the staff was very friendly, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, the avocado toast I tried was pretty underwhelming. The bread was nice, but one of the slices was covered with an iceberg lettuce salad and it was pretty hard to eat. I also tried the carrot cake though and that was very tasty! The barista also forgot parts of my order even though there were only a couple other people there. I think this place has a lot of potential, but I was a bit disappointed this time around.

The heart smells good - Edit
I’ve been to one of these restaurants inspired by Sri Chinmoy in Seattle and remember getting extremely culty vibes. Didn’t mind it, was just an interesting addition to the food. This one in Oslo is a bit less intense and the food is great. There is a lot of “propaganda” lying around, but world peace is hard to argue with. Ultimate world peace, I imagine, would mean that cows and chickens aren’t exploited for their dairy and eggs either, though. Just saying! Anyway, rant over. There was a good selection of food and the staff were friendly. You should go check it out.

Try the dahl and the caramel slice! - Edit
The restaurant serves a variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The dahl is very good, so are some of the cakes. For a big, protein filled meal, I recommend the Mexican Bowl.

Delicious, cozy and friendly ✨ - Edit
Visited for the first time today and was very pleasantly welcomed by the friendly staff. Many vegan choices, almost everything, so was difficult to choose 😁 Ended up sharing the fragrance of the heart-bowl and sourdough with hummus and avo and it was just delicious!

My favorite lunch spot! - Edit
I see this place has gotten not soo good reviews here but as someone who has worked right next to it and had lunch here almost everyday i would definitely recommend it! They always have the wrap and they usually have a ciabatta with avocado, if they are not too busy they will make a fresh one for you if they don’t have any! Their soups and mains of the day is almost always vegan, just ask to make sure, their soups are delicious. What I can say is that they have a lot of people working there, and sometimes the quality can wary based on who’s working that day, so you might order the same 2 days in a row but it comes out a bit different. I would recommend it still!

Just OK - Edit
I met a Norwegian friend here for lunch. I had their greek spanakopita with soup and he had the quiche with soup. Neither of us were particularly impressed. Both dishes (with the exception of the soups) were heated in the microwave. The flavors were quite average and price was expensive for a quick lunch bite. I wouldn't return.

Barely acceptable - Edit
Cakes were dried out and not that tasty, drinks menu unspecific and unhelpful, staff incompetent and doing little except confusing one another. They have soy milk and things are labelled "vegansk", and that's all I can say that's positive. Also overpriced.

This is the larger of the two restaurants run by members of the Sri Chinmoy cult in Norway. It's in a fairly ice department store.
