Vegan Wellington is phenomenal - Edit
I've been to The District five times now, and I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review--this place is easily one of the best spots in town for vegans and vegetarians! My husband and I came tonight because of the $30 three-course dinner special for September. While I was a little disappointed that there weren't any plant-based options included in that deal (fingers crossed for the future!), their regular menu still delivers.
Read moreI ordered the vegan Wellington, and it was absolutely phenomenal. While I am disappointed that they removed the sausage étouffée that they used to have as a second vegan entrée, but even with fewer options, The District remains one of the strongest choices in Jacksonville for plant-based dining.
On top of the food, the atmosphere is great. They even offer super aesthetic tents on the back patio for rental, the perfect idea for groups and a really fun vibe. Highly recommend!

Good atmosphere with outdoor courtyard. The service was phenomenal! The vegan platter had two tiny slices of vegan cheese, neither of which was very tasty. The hummus was excellent, the lone star of the food. The walnut tacos were dry and lacked flavor. First time I did not finish my meal in a while. I am so proud of the fact Jacksonville has gotten more vegan options downtown, so please try for yourself, so you can support the effort.

Absolutely loved the vegan charcuterie board! That cheese was amazing! Loved the walnut meat tacos and salad too, great place!

The atmosphere is awesome, with a fantastic backyard patio with comfortable seating & heaters. The prices are super reasonable. Vegan walnut tacos (3) for $10 with chips. The vegan Asian salad was $4 as a side but it was huge!! They also have a vegan cheese board on the menu. Great deals on drinks too.
