Unique atmosphere and menu - Edit
Visiting with a large nonvegan group for brunch, I recalled that service was not quite perfect. (I note this due to the other reviews.) The gothic decor was entertaining as was the menu. There are 8 clearly labelled vegan selections on the current "regular" menu but only 3 on the daily Brunch menu. Some other vegetarian-marked items should also be veganizable. Brownie points to an establishment that has 1/3 -1/2 of the menu without dead animals and clearly labeled such.

For the time-being on my first visit, I rate three stars rather than the maximum-allowed four for a nonexclusive establishment until I revisit with my vegan friends soon. I'll form a more clear opinion after a second visit.

I had the lion’s mane steak. It was so good! My daughter had the TLT, she said it was really good. We also had peanut butter pie, which was amazing!

I was drawn to Coffin Bar as they have clearly labeled and changing vegan options. I ordered a lion mane mushroom sandwich. I thought it was real steak and asked waitresses to double check as it was dark and hard to see. She said their mushroom is really close to meat, but it was vegan. A few moments later, she ran back to tell me they had served me steak sandwich with real cheese. It wasn't very busy, so it was disconcerting that such a big error could be made. I will not go back.

Fun vibe, decent food - Edit
I went with my vegan partner and some omni friends, and everyone liked their food at least a bit. My partner and I enjoyed mocktails. As a gothy group, we loved the vibe.

Food overall was good, although the toast on my tlt was soft tissue damaging.
Read moreTried to order drinks but every time I mentioned something the waitress told me they were out. So I decided to stick with water. Waitress wouldn’t give me a refill until my boyfriend asked for it.
In fact at first I thought I was overthinking that the waitress really only wanted to interact with my boyfriend but then she did it again and he mentioned something about it.
The aesthetic is cool but there was toilet paper all over the floor in the women’s bathroom and that just isn’t a vibe I can get behind.
The music was a good choice but at a volume that make conversation difficult.
Lashae P wanted to process my card at the end of the visit. There is a scan option for payment on the bill. She seemed intent on processing the payment herself. This was the most attentive she had been all visit. We feel she was trying to influence the tip amount. I opted to pay myself and she got no tip after the overall lack service I had gotten from her to that point.

Multiple, Great, Unique Vegan Options - Edit
We were so happy to find that The Coffin Bar has multiple (4) Vegan options on their current menu. We tried 3...the harissa carrots, tofu bahn mi, and bourgnignon. All were very tasty, and a good chunk of the cocktail menu was vegan friendly as well. Welcome to Lancaster! We'll definitely be back!
