This is the place I miss the most in STL. My title says it all. Who doesn’t love Halloween?

Way too much salt on all options - Edit
Tasty menu which I indulge occasionally but mostly avoid due the the high level of sodium in the food. Very salty. Not really healthy though tasty. Like all fast food its good to use sparingly

Drop-dead delicious! - Edit
Visited for the first time for a to-go order and AAAHHHHH!!! So good! The atmosphere is dark and fun, the staff are friendly, it was easy to find even though I’m not familiar with the area, and it’s all vegan-friendly!!
Read moreMy uncle(an avid hunter) thought the Carnal Asada taco was the real deal! Total win for me and shows that the only thing truly terrifying here is how close to the “real deal” their in-house seitan recipes are! (Sidenote: I didn’t try to fool my uncle; he just forgot that I’d told him I was stopping at an all vegan joint).
Everything I tried was flavorful and satisfying, with plenty of larger options if you’re really hungry. A must-visit spot in St. Louis for anyone craving creative vegan food.

Awesome atmosphere - Edit
Really cool vibe. A little dark, a little spooky. Themed with horror movies (not so much metal) and each table is its own theme. You order from a QR code unique to your table and the food is brought to you. Really solid taco fare. Can’t wait to go back.

Believe the hype - Edit
Delicious food (my faves are carnage asada and citrus mistress), good value, and a fun atmosphere. Try to check the menu before you go, because it can be a little overwhelming. The first time that I went I totally ordered. Parking can be tricky, so be prepared to walk a bit or bring a friend if getting takeout.

Random find on our way thru St. louis. We will definitely be back next time thru. Loved the neon punk/goth vibe and the vegan Mexican was off the chain.

Solid Mexican Comfort Food - Edit
Used to be way more into this place. They have recently stopped serving tofu and replaced it with soy curls in those menu items. The seitan is delicious but always gives my partner a horrible headache! Tasty food and good service but not practical to eat super often anymore.

Looks like only the Ripley burrito still is made with tofu. I was also sad to see tofu items were removed from the menu.

Vegan tacos! - Edit
Vegan tacos galore! I tried The Behemoth, the Citrus Mistress, and the Quesabirria Taco. The Behemoth was awesome - I’ve never had a taco wrapped in pita. Seriously so good! There are a TON of fillings in each taco so be prepared to possibly stain a shirt and use a mountain of napkins! Many items are spicy, even if they’re listed as low spice, so for those of us who can’t handle the heat, beware! A side of sour cream did the trick for me!

Great addition to South Grand - Edit
Last week, I finally got around to trying Terror Tacos. Because of covid concerns, I got my meal to go. Some foods don’t taste so great if you don’t eat them immediately, but my smothered birra burrito was still delicious when I got home 15 minutes later. I gave the restaurant 4 stars for being a bit salty but it’s not so salty that I won’t be back. I’m still looking forward to trying more items on their menu.
Read moreEdited 3 years later to add a 5th star. My go-to to-go 🙃 order is Tofu Taco #1, Tofu Taco #2, and the Citrus Mistress, all I get all 3 "terrorized." As long as I only get 1 seitan taco (the Citrus Mistress), my meal is not too salty. Then I wash it all down with Green Devil cocktail.

I’m not a fan of corn tortillas, they always fall apart on me especially when the there’s a thin sauce involved. The whole thing just disintegrates. The flavors are on point though.

It's a $1 upcharge per taco. Seems excessive.

We don’t charge for swapping to flour or hardshell. We do charge $1 to “terrorize” the taco which adds another flour tortilla and a layer of our terror sauce. I’m sorry if you were told that.

Terror Tacos is fantastic! I've tried several of the tacos and most are too spicy for me to handle, but the carnage asada is my jam. I love the carnage asada seitan which you can have in a taco, crunch wrap, burrito, etc. Really cool restaurant decor, especially if you are into horror and spooky things. There are a couple of tables outside if you wish to dine al fresco or you could always take your food to go and eat at Tower Grove Park.

Interesting place and Great food and service - Edit
Delicious food and a fun atmosphere. They have a spice bar to know how spicy what you're ordering is. There's taco grounds, tofu, house made seitan and an expected variety of Mexican findings such as tacos, burritos, nachos, crunch wraps, etc. A hit with my nonvegan friends
