We came here for our wedding anniversary dinner and it was spot on! Food was delish, they catered fur hubby’s nut allergy and they surprised us with a little happy anniversary dessert place! Would recommend!

Can I just start of by saying the staff here is so decent and serves you so properly, it reminded me of the ‘proper British’ that was shown on tv when I was a kid. Proper etiquette isn’t a requirement for me, but it was such a nice change from living in a non-service friendly based country. Now about the food: I went here for Easter and got to try the Easter Feaster menu. This was basically a mix of their bites menu and their desserts menu, having never been here before it was a great way of trying the menu. Completely in style, the way it was presented was absolutely beautiful. The menu was adjusted to be completely vegan for us (normally is vegetarian). It was delicious and the flavours were exceptional and fantastic. The only downside is that it’s not fully vegan.

We had a lovely lunch with a couple of friends with kids. Pigeon pea pastilla was delicious and beautiful, I had the vegan version and my friend the vegetarian one. Rosti spinach was tasty and brilliant green color. Amazing. Special menu for the kids. Friendly but professional staff. Worth it.

We had a lovely meal here. We picked the sharing tapas followed by the sharing dessert. It was all delicious. The staff were very helpful. We also had a very nice cocktail and wine. We will definitely return if we are in Brighton again.

Delightful cocktails. Good staff. Tasty food. Made a gaff with a vegan side coming out with dairy on it, double checked with waiting person and it was confirmed vegan. It was dairy. Also served a dairy truffle to a vegan. One main came 15 minutes too late. BUT mistakes happen and they took side and main off bill without asking. Overall usual high standards and will always go back.

We had the vegan afternoon tea, and it did not disappoint! Both savoury and sweet dishes were original and flavoursome (special mention for the bao bun and the chocolate cake tier!) A really nice balance of flavours and textures, with attentive staff and prompt service… Nice selection of good quality teas too! Will definitely be back to try their other menus (the sunday rosti menu sounded lovely).

Excellent tapas tasting menu with haute cuisine techniques and flavour profiles - Edit
This was our favourite meal during a trip to Brighton. We had the vegan tapas tasting menu, which sampled several dishes from their regular menu. All were obviously time-consuming to produce, with multiple components contributing to the overall flavour profile. It was refreshing to have a meal composed entirely of whole foods, using haute cuisine cooking techniques. For dessert, we had the 'Snap, Crackle and Choc', which was large enough to share and absolutely delicious. The restaurant had a comfortable vibe and the service was attentive. Although we had non-alcoholic drinks, there was a full vegan wine and cocktail menu. The only feedback I would give is that the presentation would be better if each course was served on a separate plate, in the form it's meant to be eaten, because scooping some of the dishes from the large plate they're served on inevitably leaves some of the puree or sauce they're sitting on behind. I definitely recommend Terre a Terre for a special meal.

We came here on our last trip to Brighton and enjoyed it so much we had to come again. Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff & food & wine was delicious both times. I could happily eat a plate of just the teriyaki tofu . My husband, who is veggie rather than vegan, chose to have the tofu version of the spinach rosti rather than the poached egg and was not disappointed. If, & when, we’re back in Brighton, will definitely be back again.

Read moreWe ordered the Terra a tapas for our main and it was really good. Everything was delicious, with special shout-out to the cauliflower. We also got the asparagus which was okay, but only two pieces of asparagus.
We then got the sharing dessert and it was incredible. It was so nice to have an amazing vegan dessert and every single element was gorgeous.
They also then brought us out birthday truffles at the end which was a lovely touch.
The waiter was a little bit too chatty for my liking but very friendly. Service was quite slow but it didn’t really matter. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely.

This place has a nice atmosphere, buzzy but not too loud. The service is attentive and friendly. We had the tapas sharing plate which was surprisingly filling and tasted delicious.

We went here after hearing great things. We were sadly a little disappointed. The decor is a bit tired, the staff were lovely and helpful but the food I would say isn't worth the price. Lots of choice but had better in cheaper restaurants.

Read moreThere is very little difference between the vegetarian and vegan - just a couple of small changes like dairy vs oat based cream for the scones.
Everything was delicious. The first course was surprising and inventive, and the cakes were a lovely mix of flavours. The teas were perfect too. It felt innovative and traditional all at once.

Needs more of a balance between savory and sweet. Sweet items individually excellent but very rich and heavy taken together. Also, afternoon tea should provide endless supply of tea rather than just one pot.

Beautiful food, gorgeous presentation and flavours! More like fine dining and prices reflect this - but absolutely fair prices for the quality of the food. Four of us each had a 3-course meal, plus a bottle of wine and a couple of other drinks, this came to approx £230 (about £60 a head) not including service tip.

This was such a great experience: really interesting food; a spacious and smart interior; and a lively atmosphere. The vegan tapas shared menu was delicious and so many creative vegan puds! Pricey at £80 each overall, but we’ll be making an excuse to come to Brighton again just for this!
