Amazing spring rolls, average main and weird setting

The spring rolls were amazing and the staff were really nice, but the noodle dish was just very average. The menu was also only available on a chalk board , the floor was a serious safety hazard (completely uneven) and the decor was just a bit... weird. There was also no toilet - I was told to go ask next door (in the steak restaurant) to use theirs. Would not go back - just really wasn't worth the price for the service and the taste.

Pros: Really good spring rolls, Homely atmosphere?

Cons: Overpriced, Average taste, Lack of basic amenities and weird decor

cute restaurant

The food is very delicious but the service is so horrible every time and the place very dirty/no toilet, unfortunately.

Pros: delicious food

Cons: no staff service at all, dirty place

So GOOD!

This cute little place had such great food and selection! Small place so tables fill up fast when it is busy. There was 1 server for the whole place so if you are in a rush, plan ahead. It was very cool to meet other traveling vegans at the larger community style table too. We would go back for sure!

My favourite

Caribbean/Japanese fusion food. Just like the family of the chef. My man likes to play reggae and dub tunes that are slightly too loud for restaurant standards. But he is quickly forgiven as it just adds to the soul of the place.

Most dishes end up kind of similar but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. The chef clearly has his style and it keeps me coming back for more. So there's not much to argue there!

Definitely check it out and don't forget to read the guestbook. It gets just as creative as the food :)

Yummy food but bad service

Really unique flavors, a little pricey, grumpy chef and seemingly confused hostess. Weirdly buggy with massive amounts of big mosquitos.

Amazing food in cozy location

This was the first restaurant I visited in Amsterdam due to its proximity to the typical attractions in the city. The space itself is small and interesting. It has a cozy feeling, I like it. The food - exceptional! I absolutely loved it. I could've eaten an entire plate of just the vegetables that were on my plate in the Vegan Plate meal. My traveling companion got the Jamaican Plate - he is not a vegan and absolutely loved it. I tried some of his plate as well - such a wonderful coconut sauce, yum yum. Highly recommended stop when in Amsterdam!

Pros: all vegan, many options , really really delicious

Cons: service is nothing to write home about

Yummy "burger"

We had a delicious lunch at TerraZen - we each ordered the burger. It came with stir-fried veg on one side and salad on the other side. It seemed to be more like "mock chicken" than "mock burger", but that was fine with us. Be prepared to wait a while, but it is worth the wait

The place is quite small (seats about 15 max) and the decor "funky". Two other parties got takeaway, which would be a good choice on a nice day.

The restaurant is very close to the tram stop of 1, 2 and 5 lines.

Cozy place with AMAZING food

Wow. This was truly an experience. The food was amazing, especially the fried "chicken". Super cozy location, very stealthy so a little bit hard to miss! If I would've had more time I'd go back to try the other dishes as well.

Pros: LOT of food options, Tasy food, Cozy place and friendly staff

food is great

There are so many options to choose from and the meals we had were so full of flavour and delicious! Only thing that stops this place from being a 5* is the fact that we were being bitten by bugs for most of it. But don't let that put you off this place. The food is worth it!

Wonderful food, good vibes. A bit of a shabby interior but look through and endulge on their broad menu of ALL AND ONLY vegan soulfood. My number one!

Amazing Flavors

Great and tasteful food, I will love to have a little bit of cleanliness in the sitting area but in general was delightful dinner. I've orders the Jamaican plate and coconut milkshake, plus the choco cake!

Pros: Tasty, diverse

Cons: small place, table not super clean

Excellent vegan food and friendly owner & staff

I've been here 3 times now; the food is absolutely fabulous! :-) The place is more like a living room/kitchen in someone's home, which is one of the reasons it is appealing to me. The owner is really nice; if I am not mistaken, it is family-run; the staff are his daughters & wife. Definitely eat here!

Pros: Excellent vegan food; central location; moderately

Cons: The living room/kitchen feel may not appeal to som

Tiny Place, Excellent food

The place is hidden, ironically located besides a steak house. Don't expect a restaurant, both the location and service are more similar to a homestay experience than a restaurant experience.

We had Spring Rolls as starters, the Burger and Caribbean Plate for mains and all portions were filling and delicious. I regret not trying a dessert.

Other reviews express expensive prices, we did not have the same opinion. For 1 starter, 2 mains + 2 drinks we paid 40 Euros. That's not high to be considering the taste and quality of the food, which I would not compare to a snackbar.

Pros: Excellent food, Great variety in the menu

Cons: Few places, Welcome could be better

Good Food

We ate here in May 2017 and enjoyed the food. It was an interesting mix of Asian and Caribbean food. Many dishes rely heavily on soy-based meat substitutes. Since I am allergic to soy, the chef made my dish with beans instead of soy and it was delicious. My dinner companions at the soy products and enjoyed them. There is very limited seating (9-12 people max in the whole place!). We were fortunate to get a table, but I can imagine it would be a problem at peak times. Service was fine and the place was clean.

Pros: Interesting food

Cons: Rely on soy products too much

Pros: Excellente food

Amazing place to eat, food is lovely

The decor and overall look of this place looks very dodgy and unclean but don't judge a book by its cover. The food was amazing. Especially the chips and Jamaican platter. Loved it all.

Pros: Food, Quick service, Free WiFi

Cons: Look and feel of the place needs updating, Little pricey

Ok

The place seems a bit edgy at first glance, but I enjoyed my time there. The food was delicious (the saucy sausage & rice was great, but the chicken & chips were too fatty in my opinion). The fact that there is no toilet and the fact that there is just one big table that people share makes me not give more stars unfortunately. The prices are ok, but a bit high for the offered service quality.

Pros: Good food, Friendly staff

Cons: No toilet, No proper seating

Lovely authentic food in a quirky vegan den

Quirky little eatery with a great menu. Food was gorgeous, and there was a really lovely family feel to the service and dishes on offer. Perfect portions for lunch. A nice little escape from the busyness of the city.

Pros: Gorgeous fresh authentic food, relaxed vibe

Cons: Decor needed a little TLC

A nice vegan place

The place is really chill and all, the host is all jamaican style. All the dishes are vegan which ia really great, there ia a big variety (sushi, burgers, noodles, tacos and more) including deserts. Prices are a bit high but not that much, all in all quite reasonable to the dish size.

I love this place, good food and cosy!

A cosy restaurant that is completely vegan! There is a lot of food to choose from.
No toilet, I was directed to choose the toilet in the resturant beside... a meat resturant yuck!
Expensive but worth the cost, the food was so good! Nice staff and fun furnishings... good vibes.

Pros: All vegan , Cosy atmosphere , Delicious food

Cons: Expensive , No toilet, Small restaurant

weird place, good food

Good food, loud jamaican music, No toilet, expensive.
But a good vibe in the place. The "chicken" on my plate was scary real. Never ever had a chicken substitute that was so much like real chicken.

Pros: good food, in the city center, 100% vegan

Cons: no toilet, expensive, to loud music

Tasty and homey

Very small restaurant and very friendly owner/cook. Meals are very tasty especially if you're tired of burgers and wraps. I found it a bit pricey though.
