Would give 6 stars if we could - Edit
The menu was so varied we couldn't believe it was all vegetarian (and mostly vegan) until we double checked with the waitress. We ordered a feast and devoured it so fast we forgot to take pictures for the record.
Read moreA few highlights:
The crispy soy duck texture was perfect, it even was layered to imitate the grain of the meat.
The teriyaki soy chicken was bursting with umami flavors.
The vegan blueberry cheesecake was rich and creamy.
If we lived in Toronto we would be here all the time.

Almost amazing... - Edit
Food is amazing, however is not vegan. They use dairy and eggs, but they flag really well in the menu. Didn’t like the fish tank in the entrance.

Yummy yummy veggie options! - Edit
It’s a nice restaurant! I got some rolls and a thai chicken curry. It was delicious and all made fresh. The fake salmon was interesting, they got the texture but not the taste but it’s still good for a fake fish! Would love to come back again sometime and take pictures of the food!

amazing vegetarian sushi - Edit
We have eaten at this place dozens of times and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. It is somewhere my entire family loves and is one of our favorites.
Read moreThey have a large menu with lots of items to choose from. Vegan items are clearly marked on the menu.
This visit we had the King Mushroom Roll and the Crispy Avocado Roll.
We also had the Beef Broccoli and the broccoli was perfectly crunchy. The Pad Thai was a huge serving. We also loved the
Sweet and Sour Nuggets.
The total with tax was a very reasonable $58 and we had lots of leftovers.
Other places have good sushi but I’ve never been anywhere else that is entirely vegetarian where you don’t have to worry about dashi or oyster sauce and have a huge selection to choose from.
Below are some of my comments from prior visits
We shared numerous appetizers, noodle dishes, and sushi. Everything was wonderful.
My son's favorite item was the crispy avocado roll. (sushi with avocado and tempura) My daughter loved the sushi pizza and the seaweed salad. I was't fond of the seaweed salad as the texture was too chewy but my daughter loved it.
The pizza had a thick crispy rice crust covered with diced ingredients.
My husband's favorite was the "beef" noodle dish.
We all liked the yummy crispy and the crispy fish. We also had the yam and the broccoli tempura. Next time we go we will order fewer fried items and more sushi
The desert consisted of a single scoop of ice cream which was good because we were all stuffed by then. We loved the red bean and the mango ice cream.
This is a place I plan to return to.
Pros: fast friendly service, fresh delicious food

Delicious food - Edit
This restaurant serves classic Japanese food, except vegetarian and vegan! My vegan friend and I were overwhelmed with options. Most of the menu is vegan to begin with but it is clearly labelled what is lacto-ovo and which lacto-ovo dishes can be made vegan on request.
Read moreI got the vegan duck, Edamame, and Fuji roll. All were excellent and I would order again.
The one negative aspect was that when I asked my server if one of the options was vegan she answered very curtly and I wasn't sure if she had even thought about what I had asked before saying "yes". This made me nervous about accidentally having a non-vegan options come to the table. In the end that didn't happen but I was still anxious about the possible miscommunication.

One of the best - Edit
Have been eating here for several years. It is simply the best sushi I have ever had, vegetarian or not. I recommend the sweet potato special roll. Really outstanding.

Maybe expected a bit too much? - Edit
The sushi was okay - honestly I think I've had better homemade sushi because nothing was too outstanding/unique. It still tasted good though (because yum, veggie sushi!). I guess I was hoping that as a sushi-focused veg. restaurant, there would be more creative selection: everything seemed like the standard sweet potato, cucumber, avocado, mushroom etc. types of rolls so I wasn't really keen on anything offered.
Read moreThe mock chickens were tasty but all 3 flavours offered in the AYCE dinner menu (General Tso, Orange and Sesame) tasted so similar! I know my flavours pretty well so it was a little disappointing.
Our server was really sweet and the sushi chef seemed nice, so that was quite good! I think I'd go if I was in the area, and craved sushi, but wouldn't really go out of my way to go again when I can have the same types of rolls in any sushi restaurant's vegetarian section of the menu.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Quick Service, Clean
Cons: Veggie Rolls were basic, Menu not too extensive for an all you can eat, Might be a bit pricy for the quality delivered

glad I finally made it!! - Edit
We tried for two nights to go during our vacation but went closer to our hotel. I finally went and got take out because my family decided to get something else again. I am so glad I made it over! I called 15 min before closing and they still took my order. I got the B4 bento box from the take out menu. It was all really good but I especially liked the tempura vegetables and California roll.

Fantastic All-You-Can-Eat Sushi!!! - Edit
I love that all vegetarian all-you-can-eat sushi actually exists! The selection was great, although not as much at lunch time. All the sushi was fantastic. The only downside was that certain rolls had mayo in them, so not vegan, but I've heard you can ask them to swap avocado in for them, so maybe next time I go, I'll try that!

Great service and all-you-can-eat deal - Edit
This restaurant offered an incredibly vegan-friendly menu with a plethora of choices. I took my brother and his roommate out and they were very pleasantly surprised that everything was vegan and so delicious. The all-you-can-eat option is a great deal and allows you to try a number of different items. The staff were very kind and attentive as well, adding to the experience. Would definitely go again!

sweet find! - Edit
Had a great date night here! We had a lovely private room with tea and miso soup to start (nice surprise!). I ordered the sushi bento box - avocado, sweet potato tempura & radish. Yum! Our waitress surprised us with beautifully displayed orange for dessert. I am so excited to have found a delicious veg resto closer than downtown Toronto and not raw. PS. my husband got the Chicken Teriyaki and he said it was amazing.

Our favourite spot in the GTA - Edit
We've had a dozen dishes there in the past few months and have loved every one of them. Can't praise this place enough. The vegan sushi is incredible (caterpillar role is one of my favorites) and the orange chicken, satay, wonton soup, and basil eggplant are not to be missed. Just about everything on the menu is vegan (I think just the desserts aren't) and the staff is incredibly kind. Highly recommend Tenon. Just wish they were a bit closer to downtown!

Great for vegans - Edit
If they'd just replace the mayo with vegan mayo, nearly the entire menu would be vegan. We come here for the all-you-can-eat sushi and leave stuffed and in heaven. $21.99 for dinner, and worth every penny.

Since I wrote this review they have updated their menu and now understand what items are vegan and what aren't. If they bought some vegan mayo it would make nearly everything vegan, but they really try hard otherwise. Five Happy Cows!

Delicious, original, incredible food!! - Edit
Putting it simply: GO! You will not be disappointed. Possibly the only vegetarian sushi restaurant in the GTA. And, by vegetarian, I mean NO FISH. They offer mock sashimi, creative sushi rolls, tempura, teriyaki etc. The owner/chef says the ingredients are all unique for North America and imported from Japan. The variety, presentation and flavor combinations in the sushi are the chef's own inspiration, and that makes this fairly nondescript restaurant in a strip mall so enthralling. Worth the trip out to the boonies for sure. The restaurant is not vegan, as they use eggs and mayonnaise and cheese in certain dishes, so be sure to inquire. However, the chef understands the vegan diet and can easily accommodate. We had a few of the sushis without the mayo, for example, but it was so flavorful, I wonder why he would need the mayo in the first place (he subs avocado for mayo - brilliant). Anyway, you must try this place, to help support this culinary artist's vision of sushi, to enjoy uniquely delicious food, and possibly inspire copycats so that as vegans, we can enjoy more than just cucumber and avocado rolls at the neighborhood sushi place. YUM!
