good fast food

Finally tried this a couple of weeks ago. I had the spicy temple burger and really enjoyed it. It was really filling - pure gluten. I wouldnt be having it too often but im definately going to be back to try a few other bits on the menu. There's a few seats outside or you can take away. I was eating solo so joined a table. Cool vibe to the place too. Really upbeat but chilled. Staff were really friendly and cheerful - it always makes a difference to the experience. And it was cheap as chips for the size of the meal!

Bloody Fantastic!

One of the best places I have ever been to! The food was absolutely magnificent & I was left with my mouth drooling for more (even though I was ridiculously full!!!) The prices were extremely reasonable for what you get, I guess you could say it’s what you’d pay in any normal kebab shop :) 10/10 will definitely come again 👌

Pros: superb food, lovely staff , reasonable prices

Cons: none!!!! (could add more to the menu maybe hehe)

freakishly realistic!

I love temple of seitan but it is SO expensive and the line is always so long. I love their sliders that they did at the KERB veg fest

Pros: fried chick'n!! , sriracha on hand!! , so realistic

Cons: expensive as hell, always has a long line, next to a butchers

Do it!!!

This place is amazing. Anyone that gives it less than 5 stars is crazy!

I heard about this place the last time I was in London and wasn't able to make it. I've wanted to go for 9 months... and it was worth the wait!!!!

It was amazing!
Yes, there was a line.
Yes, it's a little pricey.
Yes, there are almost no tables.

None of that matters.
It's absolutely delicious.
And worth every penny.
And the trip to Hackney.

You won't be disappointed!!!!

omfg. this totally lived up to the hype.

I had been waiting to go to Temple for a while and when I got there I was NOT disappointed - their hot chicken wings and mac n cheese were INSANELY good and super filling too (in fact I had way too much!). Would highly recommend.

wow

I had read reviews saying it was too expensive, but for the amount of food you actually get I think it's really good value.

Pros: Lots of choice

Cons: Be prepared not to get a seat, we were lucky that

A must visit

Incredible food and amazing people. My burger was very tasty, with cheese and facon. Fries were really good too. It's a place worth travelling to if you're vegan, I felt emotional when I was there for the first time. Idk why can't all places be like this instead of harming animals for no reason.

Pros: The vegan run company, The crowd, Vegan fast food

Cons: Small space

tasty!!!

The staff is so nice and friendly!
Their seitan awesome.
If you navigate, do so from adress not directly from HappyCow. Than it wil lead you to the wrong place.
Everyone seems to order the mac n cheese. But I went for the burger. Yummy!!

Pros: nice staff, sitting outside when sunny, great seitan !!!

Cons: bun is a bit dry, small inside space. with bad weather = take away, adress via happy cow seems incorrect

INCREDIBLE

Absolutely delicious "junk" food, friendly staff, good prices. I recommend this place to every vegan and even non-vegan that I know. Some of my favourite vegan food in London, it never disappoints. Lucky enough there's never been a line every time I've gone there. I would eat there every single day if I could! It deserves even more than 5 stars.

Pros: Amazing food, Friendly staff, Decent prices

Cons: No cons whatsoever!

Cannot recommend this place highly enough for a JF fix

As we know that the Temple closes as soon as they run out of the food for the day we made sure to be there at 12 pm sharp for the opening of it (feeling a bit stupid doing so) but were very surprised that there were already several other people waiting with us as well. We of course ordered alot of stuff (way too much of course) so I can get a taste of everything I have been drooling over in FB posts and was not disappointed. The chikn strips are very good as well as the Mac and Cheese (was really great actually). We also had the dessert that was on offer that day (brownies) which were excellent as well. This place is definitely highly recommendable and the line out the door is no exaggeration! So if you want to make sure you really get a taste of it, make sure to get there early :-) And don´t be put off by the butchers next door (even though the smell of dried fish was a bit offputting when dining outside).

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Very affordable prices

Cons: not many seating options, more of a take away, can sell out

Unique, awesome, utterly finger licking deliciousness.....

Unique, awesome, utterly finger licking deliciousness....as a vegan you have a duty to go. Friendly staff, great location in buzzy area of Hackney :) Had the vegan deluxe burger with bakon, smayo and cheese...also got a portion of mac n cheeze of course it was far too much, but I had a good go. The batter on the chikkin burger was just so crispy and delicious, I could hardly talk which is a strange concept for me.

Pros: Awesome flavour, Reasonable price, Friendly staff

Fried heaven

Delicious vegan fried "KFS", but much better and not meat. Very little place to sit outside and a bit far from the center, but totally worth the trip!

Pros: yummy, fried

Cons: no place to sit, mostly take away

The burgers are amazing and the veggie chicken popcorn is amazing! Delicious unhealthy treat for that day when you just want to throw the strict diet out of the window and binge on some oily crap! 🙀

Pros: tasty, high protein, fairly priced

Cons: limited seating, no toilets, mo basins to wash hands after eating meal

delicious, quick and soooo well prepared!

This little stand is churning out the absolute best in quick indulgent food! We got popcorn "chicken", planks and their chips all of which were delicious. Great service and smiles all around :)

Does exactly what it says on the tin

Looks and feels like a standard chicken shop. Possibly the best vegan junk food I've ever had. Prices were reasonable and free water was available. Also a nice selection of sauces, including Siracha sauce which is one of my favourites. I took a some meat-eating friends there and they were all impressed.

vegan fast food !!

I went on a Saturday, it was really popular the service was great, super fast. I wouldn't say it was healthy food but a great place to get some tasty vegan junk food, I got the chips and fried 'chicken'.

Naughty Vegan Food!

I went on a Saturday and it wasn't overly busy and everything I tried was spot on! Felt very naughty and cheating but loved it!!

Everything was crispy, hot and mouth watering!

Disappointed, what a shame.

Hot vegan wings were soaked in hot sauce, so was soggy (difficult and messy) to eat with wooden chip fork) Vegan burger with cheese was plain and boring, the bun was awful. Was very busy and only 12 seats over 2 tiny tables!

I've had better elsewhere

I was excited to try the food here as there's been a lot of hype around it. I ordered the temple burger with mac and cheese, while my partner ordered the spicy burger with chips. While the chips and mac and cheese were really good, both burgers were disappointing. I found my burger to be quite bland, and my partner's burger certainly didn't seem like the order was correct.
I would go back and try other stuff on the menu, but my non-vegan partner wishes we'd gone back to the Full Nelson for the better vegan junk food he's had. To be fair, Deptford is closer to us.

Pros: It's all vegan. Really tasty mac 'n' cheese.

Cons: Smell of meat from butcher next door is not ideal.

not great

Seitan was like chewing gum, portions were small and overpriced. The guy who served me was clearly only interested in my money. Won't bother coming back. Don't believe the hype.

Pros: good crispy coating

Cons: poor seitan, over priced

Finger lickin' good

Great food and great concept. Deep fried seitan all the way. The menu is a little limited but I guess this is due to the high demand and limited size of the place. Food is top notch 👍🏽
I'm sure (and hope) there will be other sites down the pipeline.

Pros: food quality, service

Cons: price

Meat eaters were impressed

Tasty food. Took a few omnivores and they were thoroughly impressed. Taste is almost identical and texture is similar to how i remember fried chicken.

Sub was nice as as was the two piece chicken. Nuggets pretty good too.

Quite heavy though as it is fairly greasy.

If you eat too much you'll feel sick but that goes for most of these kind of places (vegan or not).

Cons: location is a little out of the way
