Service not up to standard for this price - Edit
Waiter spilled cocktails on me, my clothes were soaked and sticky the entire evening. Can happen, but only an apology, no dry cleaning offered, not even a complimentary drink.
Read moreWe had pre ordered 4 vegan 8 course menus and 4 non vegan, this was confirmed, plus a sizeable downpayment, but the waiting staff didn't know.
Drink orders were mixed up.
The sommelier was good. And the food as well. But all in all overpriced due to the less-than-impeccable service we got.

Amazing high-end vegan food - Edit
Great experience at Taiko. Would have love to give them 5 stars but the app doesn't allow me, but they truly deserve it. Impeccable service, magical entrance, lounge feeling. It's expensive, of course, but not for the quality of the food you get. Best way to treat yourself once in a while.

We had the vegan menu, it was an amazing 4 course menu with food combinations I never imagined, really high class food. With my girlfriend having high expectations, even she was blown away.

Fancy multiple-course dinner - Edit
If you want to celebrate a special occasion or just treat yourself, I can definitely recommend Taiko. They have an amazing vegan chef's menu (besides their regular menu which serves meat) which changes every season. Beautiful dishes, all very balanced and definitely filling enough. I also have several food allergies that they could easily work with, which I always really appreciate in a non-vegan place, as it limits the ingredient options even further. (Of course, you should inform them in advance of any allergies or intolerances.)

Amazing vegan set menu! - Edit
Serves meat. They offer a 6 course very fancy Japanese set menu. We had 17 separate dishes, and each one was incredible. This is elevated food, all plant-based, no fake meats, artfully plated. A lot of thought goes into this food and each plate explodes with flavor. You also pay for this much TLC. You get you what you pay for in this case. If you have a special occasion or just love great vegan Japanese food, give this place a try.
