Super clear menu with plenty of vegan sushi options, nigiri, miso soup with tofu, etc. The food was so excellent that we had lunch and then went back for dinner. The Avocado crunchy roll was delicious! The owner (Kiyoka) is a great guy as well! He speaks a bit of Spanish! I fully recommend it!

Staff were very nice and hard working. Vegan sushi was just ok - pretty simple and nothing outstanding or very creative for the 7 vegan roll options. Good value: 7 rolls and 3 drinks for < 6,000 yen (for family of 4). It would make an ok lunch stop.

The vegetable tempura is excellent, as is the sushi. They were short staffed and forewarned us that it would be a long wait to get our food, which we were fine with; we spent about an hour in the restaurant.

We really liked this place, the sushi had a good taste and the price was fair. Try the teriyaki rolls, they are very delicious. Expect a longer waiting time when the place is full, because there only work 2 people.

This little place seems to suffer a bit from being off the main routes between the centre and the station. Really good, fresh vegetarian sushi (not just cucumber) and also salad (delicious dressing) and edamame beans. Vegetable tempura and cheese-based options are also available, which we didn't try. Plenty to choose from for the non-vegetarians in the party and a friendly welcome both evenings. We normally try different places, but after our first visit didn't bother looking for alternatives. Thoroughly recommended.

This small sushi restaurant had the best sushi and lots of vegetarian options. I had the “Fresh vegetable roll” and the “Crunchy Avocado Roll” and asked to substitute the mayonnaise for spicy mayonnaise which was accommodated for a small charge. It was the best sushi we’ve had since we arrived. There is limited seating and they are short staffed, but we were seated immediately and enjoyed the extra time. We have found in Japan that service tends to be rushed and this was a respite.

Love small restaurant with veggie sushi - Edit
I've struggled in Takayama to not find beef restaurants and stalls everywhere. This place has 4 types of veggie sushi, veg tempura and fries. The tempura was light and varied. The California rolls were delicious and I wish I ordered 8, not 4. The veggie rolls are also good, very large x4. They also do a Hida steak, which was great for my non-veggie husband so catered to us both. Mine cost around ¥2000 Inc a gin&tonic

Has 4 options of vegan sushi and another four options of vegan hossomaki. Also has vegetable tempura as well as avocado nigiri. Everything was very tasty. The owner understands english. Small place, maybe there is a need for reservations
