So good! - Edit
Amazing selection, chestnut and roast tea was delicious, cardamom was lovely and chocolate with cream filling was insane. Coffee also delicious! The nearby park is a lovely place to enjoy your treats!

Nice donuts - Edit
Enjoyed the donuts and the matcha, although I think matcha was pre-mixed. Donuts weren’t too sweet but I liked that personally. I wouldn’t have the peanut again (just a preference), but would have the lemon and coconut again. The neighborhood is cool too definitely worth a visit. I think it’d be more 3.5 rather than 3

so much love in these donuts!! - Edit
Sunday Vegan is an absolutely adorable little bakery on an absolutely adorable street in Kichioji, right by the park. Though the shop is small, there is a bench with two little tables for eating in, which might be good to know!😄
Read moreThis time, I had the lemon glaze donut, the matcha mochi donut, and the custard cream donut. They were all great, but omg I don't know how they bake their ring donuts, but the lemon glaze donut was DIVINE. Also their matcha is amazing (had an iced latte, but the flavor was great on the mochi donut too). I'm sure all the others are bussin too; they have a wide variety of flavors and different little donut-adjacent pastries, but seem to have mastered them. I'm super excited to come back regularly and try everything out (especially that old fashioned apple cider donut... and the white chocolate custard... and and and...)😄
Also the staff is super sweet! Come here for a cute tasty time! ♡

Creamy Donut for the Win - Edit
I got the bread to go, which looks moist, just haven’t ate it yet. The creamy donut was delicious; they aren’t too sweet and the filling is fluffy and light. 10/10, I’d do it again.😄

a really cute shop! - Edit
we came by early before our timed entry for the ghibli museum for breakfast, so we got a small variety. the milk donuts were good but the glazes were a little too subtle flavor-wise up against a more cake-like texture. however, this was maybe hands down the best plain glazed donut i've ever had? i bit into it before remembering to take a picture of it, but i'll never forget how pillowy and lightly sweet it was. a real gem!

Quite Good! - Edit
This place is not bad at all. I was a bit saddened by the fact that the glazed doughnut, the undisputed litmus test for doughnut scrumptiousness, was sold out, but I came late, so joke’s on me.
Read moreThe doughnuts were nice! Not too sweet, which was great, and the cream doughnut which everyone recommends is very nice. Had mine in my bag for a good six hours before eating and it was still the best second best dessert I’ve had in Japan so far. Price is really fair, too. Good stuff!

Yummy oat latte - Edit
Had an iced oat latte and dippin donuts. Both were very nice, although I asked for the ‘Green Me’ matcha cream, but was given the standard cream. Took my goodies to Inokashira Park to eat, only a few meters from the store.

Nice donuts - Edit
Nice place for grabbing breakfast if you’re going to the Ghibli Museum! I tried two donuts, a sakura and a custard one. The sakura one was delicious, the custard one was okay (wasn’t a huge fan of the custard texture, it was more like whipped cream). Coffee was good. Would love to go back to try more donuts.

I love their donuts! - Edit
I’ve been to Sunday Vegan twice, for my birthday breakfast in 2024 and 2025 - on my way to the Ghibli Museum. I love that you can see the bakery area while you sit and eat.
Read moreLast year I believe I had the raspberry filled chocolate donut and also one of the custard(?) filled. This year I grabbed the coffee old fashioned and the custard filled. I also grabbed some takeaway coffee and their banana bread to enjoy another day at the hotel. If you’re on your way to Mitaka, it’s a must stop for delicious donuts and coffee! (they also have scones and banana bread)
Pros: Completely vegan , Amazing choices , Not just donuts
Cons: Small, only one sitting area

One of my favorite Vegan spots in Japan! So good I visited three times! - Edit
Not much needs to be said here. If you are in Kichijōji, you ought to visit Sunday Vegan. Lots of variety and great prices.
Read moreLike many bakeries, they seem to do a single baking run in the morning; so definitely try to swing by then for the best donuts.
Proximity to Inokashira Park and easy pathing to the Ghibli Museum make this a convenient addition to a Kichijōji itinerary.

I got both the chocolate cream and lemon. Based on all the lemon love here I expected more. The chocolate cream was far superior, and was nice and cool for this hot summer!

The lemon donut was delicious! - Edit
The chocolate cream donut was okay, but the lemon donut was tasty. However, there are better donut shops in Tokyo; I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this one.
