In terms of flaky pastry, my expectations are high - I've had a lot. And sadly theirs isn't really to my taste. It's really not as soft and buttery as you'd want it.

The croissant was really strange, the flavours didn't match and the popcorn was already very stale.
The filling of the cruffin was amazing, something different. But again the pastry itself wasn't that amazing.
I got to try pieces of their cookie cakes - they were breathtaking!!! I would've also gotten a focaccia but the pieces were too big for a sample at a street food festival.

I love love love Succulente bakery. They are a traditional bakery that is all vegan. Anything you remember from your youth (before being vegan), you can now buy again! The double chocolate couques are to die for. I have tried many of their pastries and they are all tasty and original.
Read moreI order my kids' custom made birthday cakes here and I buy their Christmas bush cake every year as well. The non-vegan guests also love the cakes very much.
If you want something specific, it might be good to order in advance. Some days, they only offer a limited selection to prevent food waste (which I fully support).

I’ve had the chance to go several times, and their pastries & tarts are always good (the Christmas logs are a must-try too!). A special mention for the strawberry whipped cream croissant — it’s absolutely delicious and not overly sweet! The only pastry I wasn’t as convinced by was the éclair au chocolat : I tried it 2 times and each time the dough had a very strong taste of baking soda, which unfortunately overpowered the rest, so I won’t be ordering it again. Other than that, everything else was excellent, and the prices are very reasonable!

We tried two savoury and three sweet pastries, all incredible. The pastry is light and decadent, you must go here!
Don't skip the savoury options, they are heaven!!

Fully vegan bakery and pastry shop, get there early if you want pastries and not at closing time as I did cause otherwise you won’t have many choices 😜 I had seen that they sometimes had unsold TooGoodToGo items but I suppose it's totally dependent on the demand and the day of the week. I was able to grab their last raspberry croissant, it was very good! On the other hand, in my opinion it is not necessary for them to offer bread since they are not bakers, almost all their breads were still unsold and are not homemade. Also note that it's located in a very remote area of Brussels, so I don’t think I would go back due to the far away location

OMG, this patisserie is a gem! We loved it so much that we drove one morning back to Brussels (45min) only to get another set of pastries, they are seriously good. Especially the custard filled ones are so very much delicious. If you're in Belgium, this is a MUST go!

Teleurstellende taartjes met weinig smaak - Edit
Het aanbod van de taartjes was vrij eentonig maar wel voldoende. 'S middags geen stokbrood noch koffiekoeken. De smaak van de taartjes liet serieus de wensen over. De creme vullingen van de eclair/berlijnse bol hadden gewoon geen smaak. De textuur van de berlijnse bol was ook hard. Heel jammer. Het chocolademoussetaartje had binnenin een bizarre vulling die opnieuw smaakloos was. De chocolademousse zelf was wel heel lekker. Brood is ook heel lekker.

Read moreLes pains au chocolat, huit à la crème, couques suisses rondes sont bonnes, par contre j’avais pris deux éclairs au chocolat et il y avait un mauvais dosage avec le bicarbonate ce qui laissait un très mauvais goût, je n’oserais plus en prendre à l’avenir malheureusement mais le reste était top.

Many viennoiserie to choose from, including raisin or almond-filled ones, brioches and the classics: croissant, pain au chocolat and crème chocolate. In 1 word: heavenly! (Yes, all of them!)
Some large pies, but mostly one-serving (fruit)pastries with cherries, apricot, pear, ... Also brownies and a few pastries like on the picture (coconut, hazelnut or chocolate mousse).
Situated in Anderlecht, sadly enough way out of the city of Brussels (centre), but nevertheless easily accessible by public transport from the Brussels Midi railway station (20 minute bus ride).

I have been dreaming of delicious pastries since becoming vegan so this place is a dream come true! I have only tried the viennoiseries and would particularly recommend the couques au chocolat and couques aux amandes. I would definitely suggest calling in advance to place your order because the pastries do seem to sell out quite quickly, especially at the weekend. En bref, I am over the moon that this place exists.
