Innovative international menu - Edit
Mykonos menu was a treat. Spanokopita and kolokithokoftedes especially on the savoury end. We were full even before moussaka but still ate that as such a tasty main course. Then a delicious dessert of galatopita - so creamy and smooth, amazing!

Nothing quite like this place. We had a bottomless sushi experience. All the sushis we were offered were so beautiful, tasty and creative. All masterpieces.

Only until this Saturday, I think... then next week, a different world cuisine....
Our first visit to this branch and we found the venue a fab curated space, positive vibe and music, and a relaxed atmosphere.
We were very sad when the downstairs Fenwick restaurant was closed a while back, but now we see what has emerged from the embers is joy!
Pros: A lovely venue, Fabulous tasting menu, Great service

Not casual but very good - Edit
Not sure why the description calls this a casual restaurant as it's quite high-end. The food is special and very good.

Incredible sushis - Edit
The place is posh. The sushis are exquisite. Pricey, yes , but worth it. The weird thing is they offer you water the moment you sit but there are many more options à la carte

Cena fantastica allo Studio Gauthier!

Il dessert era superbo, sicuramente non è facile trovare una tale qualità in un ristorante vegano.
Atmosfera raffinata ma accogliente, mi è piaciuta molto la colonna sonora anni '80.
Super consigliato!

One of my favourites! - Edit
I'm a fan of all restaurants from Alexis Gauthier (123V, Gauthier Soho) but I've never tried Studio Gauthier because it opened just before I left London. I was there for a few days so I thought it would be a good occasion to try it - it didn't disappoint.
Read moreWe went for a selection of sushi that were all delicious. You can also go for unlimited sushi if you're really hungry (we didn't this time). The new decor is very nice too, it made me think of an afternoon tea type of place. Desserts are relatively small for the price but we were not really hungry anymore at that stage. We'll definitely go again next time we're in London!
Pros: Fully vegan, Amazing sushi, Relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Can be quite expensive

100% recommend - new favorite - Edit
Great dish ideas, marvelous execution, fair prices (apart from the steak but the other options are great!), impeccable music playlist, the ambiance of the place is a lovely mix of chic-casual with nice book to have a peak at. Staff was super nice to us and made a little birthday chocolate writing for our friend on her plate.

High end dining experience in London - Edit
We went to Studio Gauthier on a Saturday evening, having made a reservation through their website. The restaurant is in great central location for the West End. We sat on a lovely terrace, shaded on a hot sunny August evening. We each ordered the omakase sushi experience, which was amazing. There was a really nice variety of tastes and creative flavour combinations, and the chance to try vegan salmon and tuna style sushi. For dessert we shared an earl grey shortbread, which came with a vanilla cream and berry sorbet. The staff were lovely and the service was prompt. Absolutely cannot fault it. It was not cheap, but not very expensive for London prices either.

Good food, not so good ambience - Edit
The food was delicious but the setting/ambience was odd. We were seated in a comfortable booth but we were facing an empty room through a glass wall. Another business? It just made it not very cozy. Plus our backs were to the activity of the restaurant so we couldn't see wait staff unless we turned around 180 degrees, though they were attentive and pleasant.

Interesting - Edit
Stumbled upon this place by accident but was pleasantly surprised.
Read moreI should probably add this as a disclaimer: I don’t know who Alexis Gauthier is and I don’t intend to find out.
With that out the way, I like the fusion aspect of their cuisine. It’s a fresh twist on things you know in a stylish, shabby chic and slightly minimalist interior.
We tried a lot of things and were not disappointed. Popping flavours, interesting combinations and on point presentation.
The slightly disappointing aspect for me personally was the size of the portions, granted the dishes aren’t very expensive so you can easily get two mains, but even that wouldn’t necessarily cut it for me.
Their menu isn’t huge, so if you’re a picky eater (which I am definitely not) you might have trouble finding something you like.
Overall definitely recommend.
