Best Vegan Restaurant

This is without doubt the best vegan restaurant I have ever been to - and I’m coming from London which has loads. Better than Mildred’s in Soho. Don’t miss this. Great service and ambiance too. #Veganuary

Best vegan food in Sofia

A bit pricey, especially for locals, but definitely the best vegan food in Sofia and also a great location. Both the garden and the inside of the the house are very pleasant to sit in and eat.

Incredible

Just perfect: delicious food, friendly staff, great ambiance.

I had the cheese platter for appetiser - probably too much for 1 person but i couldn't not eat it all!

I had the mushroom risotto for main course which was amazing.

Wine by the glass and a great selection of beers too.

I bought some cheese to take away.

Definitely recommend this restaurant, best I've tried in Sofia.

A bit pricey for the taste

This is an extremely popular place, and being one of the very few entirely vegan joints in Bulgaria, it's of course something to be grateful for. Especially since they have a professional chef coming up with artisanal recipes.
However... I've been there 3 times in total, ordered different dishes every time, and the taste was never something to write home about... I really wanted to love it! But it just was fancy, but not entirely delicious. The prices are very, very high, but that is kind of standard for Sofia artisanal restaurants. All in all I'm happy a proper vegan restaurant exists in Bulgaria, I just feel like the focus should be a bit more on quality and taste, rather than, well, pretentiousness...

Finally! -Healthy Vegan food.

Can't believe to find such a Vegan restaurant in the Bulagaria & the Balkans.Amazing!!
Lovely decor and outside garden.Super friendly staff.
Very warm ,relaxing and welcoming the minute I came in!
Delicious menu, healthier than normal vegan places and little higher class and gourmet . Delicious refreshing Gazpacho with walnut bread.Better than anything I've ever had in Spain.
Wow!
Also they have a cool little bike park area.
It's definitely a hidden gem!
Highly Recommended!
Must Try!

Hidden Garden

This was our favorite vegan spot in Sofia. The place is a little hidden (just looks like a regular house) and off the beaten path, but once we found our way to the garden in the back, we were really impressed. The outdoor space is beautiful and relaxing. On our first visit, we had a pizza and risotto. On our second visit, we tried the sunrise noodles and spinach pancake. Very happy with everything we had here. The service was very friendly as well.

Beautiful outside garden in the sun

Lovely venue located just outside the centre of Sofia.
Beautiful outside seating area. Fully vegan venue.
Daily menu as well as a standard menu.
We had hummus and avocado dip as a starter/side.
Only criticism I have is there were only 4 flax crackers with the dip which wasn’t enough for the amount of dip.

Mains were the bruschetta from the daily menu and the oyster mushroom salad from the main menu. Both were packed with flavour and tasted amazing.

Mixed feelings

Really good food: interesting menu, lots of things I would like to try and what I had (artichoke romana and pumpkin brownie) were both very tasty and nice to look at. But one of the waiters was quite unpleasant to me, which made it a strange experience overall. Not sure what bothered him: maybe that I asked for tap water and wasn’t well dressed enough? (The other one was very nice though.) Prices were very high for Bulgaria but okay given the food (but not some of the service), waiting times were on the long side.

Pros: Amazing food, Some nice staff, Nice garden

Cons: Passive aggressive/unfriendly behavior

Fantastic food in a lovely garden

Their outdoor seating area is just perfect, it's secluded, away from the street, feels intimate, has large trees and flowers and allows you to appreciate the building's exterior in its entirety. The food quality is insane, I wouldn't have expected to find such a high standard for vegan food in Eastern Europe, but I'm glad I was proven wrong. On two separate visits I had the risotto and the tagliatelle, which were both absolutely delicious! We had desserts too, as well as freshly pressed juices, all was insanely good. The price tag is more expensive than elsewhere in Bulgaria, but it is very much worth it.

Soul Kitchen

Lovely restaurant in a residential area outside the main city centre hub. Building appeared to be a converted house and I loved all the original features and sympathetic renovation. Various intimate rooms for dining and really an all round place, great for a family get together, catch up with friends or a date night. Plenty of menu choices and it was clear the focus was on well prepared quality food. The prices do reflect this and are higher than other places in Sofia. I had the orange and grapefruit salad, a little bit watery and as such the flavours from the dressing were washed out. I also had the avocado cashew dip with raw crackers, the dip had a delicious flavour and was a good portion size however only had a few small raw crackers with it leading to a lot of the dip being wasted. For the price I do feel that 4 small crackers is a little on the stingy side. Service could have been a bit more attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to return next time I’m in Sofia though.

Selten so gut vegan gegessen

Versteckt in einer Seitenstraße in Sofia, aber wert es zu suchen. Richtig schönes Ambiente und tolles veganes Essen. Beim nächsten Besuch in Sofia kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

Expensive for Sofia (?) but delicious and cool vibe

Really cool vibe, aesthetically pleasing and wide range of options in this tucked away restaurant. The waitresses were all friendly and attentive and there was no issue with communication given my non-existent Bulgarian. Opted for dishes I've never had before: Tarator (cold cucumber soup - actually delicious), a sous-vide cauliflower and fennel main with an unreal sauce and tasty chickpeas and then a chocolate truffle dessert (nice but not sure I could see the peanut tahini). Regardless, if I'm back in that part of town again before I leave, I'll for sure return!

Pros: Veganified traditional dishes like Tarator., Warm customer service, Cool vibe

Cons: Potentially expensive but haven't tried elsewhere , Further off to one side of the centre of town

Best in Sofia

If you can look past the prices, which are fairly high for local standards, this place is amazing. Fully vegan, beautiful and tasty food. Staff is very kind and helpful. They also scold noisy children which is not something you see often and is an absolute blessing ❤️

Pros: Fully vegan menu , Very tasty , Beautiful food

Cons: Expensive for local standards, Busy during peak hours

So so good!

I first were skeptical because the portions at fine dining restaurants are sometimes very small, but the portions here were perfect! We had curry and sunrise noodles as well as the „cheese“ plate as appetizer and it was all very delicious! Desserts were also very good. I can totally recommend it!

Favourite place for pizza

It’s a cozy restaurant with high-quality vegan food. It’a a great place to go on a date or when you have an occasion to celebrate. The garden is one of the best places to be in the summer in Sofia. Try the pizza and the pasta. And the desserts!

Mixed feelings

I have a problem with evaluating this place. The food was really good. High, restaurant level. The waiting time was quite long, but the food was fresh, tasty and creative. At the same time, the place itself has a strange atmosphere. Perhaps too posh for me. The waiter was both unpleasant and intrusive. Prices a little too high.

Best fine dinning in Sofia

The dishes are quite good, lots of cooking techniques, lots of tastes in one plate, in short rich dishes. The restaurant is very nice, the interior is home style and in summer there is an open garden. The service can benefit from improvement and it's pricey.
