Cupcakes ... I still have trouble recovering. The decoration of the shop is very pretty, the welcome is great and as a bonus the pastries really good!

Sophie TROP sucree lol - Edit
I’ve anticipated maybe a couple of years before finally coming here this past summer with my kids. We sampled half the store I think.... the presentation is wonderful, the staff as well, the deserts are good (except for icecream—- we tried 3 different types, worst vegan icecream I had. If any of the non vegan people start trying this, we’ll get a bad rep!!!). But everything, except for maybe the pastries, is way way too sweet. White refined sugar sweet. That was my impression— I haven’t had sugar in many years... So I was disappointed as I was expecting a lot more. I had tried other vegan bakeries, in Boston, and was impressed. This being said, there are less sweet options and in general, a lot of variety :)

The best Vegan Bakery I have been too - Edit
This place was such a perfect place to grab breakfast in Montreal. Had amazing apple turnover with banana bread. My wife had spinach and “feta” turnover, and some other chocolate pastry. With coffee it was so good we went back up and got some to take with us. Highly recommend if you’re vegan and in Montreal.

Délicieux! - Edit

For vegans with a sweet tooth - Edit
What's not to love about this all vegan bakery, aside from the limited amount of seats? Their cheesecakes are rich and creamy, the pecan tarts are just the right amount of sweet, and the cupcakes are light and moist with just the right ratio of frosting. The croissants though can be hit or miss. On one day the almond croissant was perfect, nice layers and flakey texture. But a couple of days later the croissants were more bready and not so flakey. Service was great both times.

Yum - Edit
Baller chocolate chip cookie dough vegan ice cream! My husband had the chocolate chip banana bread and really liked it. We had differing opinions on the brownie samples - he thought it was great, I thought it was too bitter.

Excellent vegan desserts - Edit
This place came highly recommended by a colleague who used to live in Montreal. I was determined to check it out while travelling to Montreal. I ordered a croissant au amande and an almond caramel cupcake. Both are super delicious and makes me wish Toronto has a vegan dessert place like Sophie Sucree. I can't wait to visit Montreal (and Sophie Sucree) again.

Pretty good - Edit
I've been to better vegan bakeries in other cities so perhaps I'm spoiled, but I found this place to be just ok. The cupcake I tried was quite dry. However it might have been an off day, and any bakery with vegan options is great in my books, so I'd like to try again someday the next time I visit Montréal :)

Wonderful Pastries - Edit
My favorite is the spinach 'feta' puff pastry! No need to have butter anymore for puffs and croissants! Sophie Sucrée shows that it's possible to have great and tasty results without butter.
