Friendly locals

Great local Vietnamese vegan restaurant. I can't speak much Vietnamese. I just pointed to a massive soup thingy which was getting prepared for someone else. She made one for me for take away. 50.000 Dong. It's massive. It's delicious. The place was busy with locals. That's always a good sign that the food is going to be good. Limited seating inside. Some seating outside. No English spoken. No menu in English.
After I ate at home:
This is it. I've finally found the absolute best Vietnamese vegan noodle soup in Saigon.
The broth! A delicious thick tomato based one. Not too salty. Just like Goldilocks wants.....just right!
The noodles! Not too thin. Not too thick. Just what Goldilocks likes....just right!
Plus a generous portion of veggies and tofu and faux meats.
The place was busy for an early Wednesday morning.
This supreme bowl of Vietnamese cuisine was 50.000 Dong! Could easily sell this delicious delight in a nicer looking restaurant for at least triple the price.
One of the reasons why I love family run restaurants like this is the authenticity of the place.
Highly recommend this place.
