If you’re in Groningen and like macaroons, please go here! You can also find their macaroons on vegan festivals and at ‘Van die vegans’ in Hilversum.
Read moreThe ones with chocolate, pistachio, cookies & cream and pecan/vanilla are the best. The fruitier ones tend to taste a bit artificial.
Sometimes there are special flavours (on top of the regular ones), e.g. strawberry, stroopwafel, Amaretto, passionfruit and carrot cake.

The owner told me they are actually made of potato starch, so no aquafaba (he thanked GOD, aquafaba is a pain to work with xp).
The flavours I tried were amazing. Maybe not 100% accurate as to what they are called but to be fair these are very extraordinary. All of them are still delicious little treats and I'm sure no one could tell they are vegan.

I really liked how well labeled the vegan options were for the macaroons. Unfortunately you have to inquire which of the pralines are vegan.
Read moreI tried the banana/salted caramel, chocolate and tiramisu macaroons. What I really liked was that they were not as overpowering sweet as some other vegan macaroons I had before. Tiramisu was ok, chocolate a bit boring but banana… I don’t know, it tasted more like a prank than a flavor one produces intentionally? And 0% like banana. Very weird, would try a different flavor next time.

But the chocolate one was quite tasty. The one with banana - I couldnt eat it at all. Had to spit it out. So... Mixed feelings. But may be I just dont like mackarones.

I went to this patisserie multiple times, they have a really good selection of vegan macarons which are great for a little indulgement or can be used as a present. I would really like to see this place go fully vegan.
