Lovely little almost vegan whole food cafe. - Edit
Lovely staff serving a good all vegan menu. Quick service, with attention to detail.
Read moreI had a scrambled tofu sandwich. The home-made scrambled tofu, mixed with pickles and onion was delicious, and the bread warm and chewy. Also could not resist the bounty (coconut) cake, a delicious thing similar to cheesecake.
The cafe is all vegan, except that it offers dairy milk for drinks.
Pros: All vegan, Delicious food. , Wholesome.
Cons: But really, how wholesome can cake be?

Simply good vibes - Edit
100% plant based bistro with a good selection of organic, healthy, vibrant food and a calming atmosphere. The owners are sweethearts and obviously care, lots of effort put into delicious food while also being eco friendly. Scones and cakes, salads and mains. I visited in summer so had a salad and smoothie, and can't wait to go back for a cake and hot chocolate in colder months :)

What a little Gem - Edit
We were on a day trip to Penrith as part of our stay in the Lake District. By mid afternoon we were looking for a place to have coffee and cake. We were recommended this place by another cafe who were out of vegan options. I’m so glad! This place is a rare find, the owners are passionate about the food they produce and it’s impact on the environment. We went for the small salad bowl and ginger/ lemon cake with coffee. The oat milk is produced onsite to reduce the need for packaging. The salad was tasty and nourishing esp. liked the slaw mix and the cake was heavenly. Why aren’t there more places like this in every town? Unfortunately we live 400 miles away!

Exquisite! - Edit
Located in Penrith in the Devonshire Shopping Arcade. As I’m not from this area I struggled a bit with the car parking situation and I found myself in a lot of dead ends creating a bit of chaos, however there is a car park near by and it’s a 1-2 minute walk from the cafe. As me and my girlfriend came from Teesside to enjoy a nice little time away at center parks we decided to go for something to eat just before we went and we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to eat. As we entered we were struck with some very convenient luck as some people were just leaving as we came in, this establishment is quite small and compact. The cafe does offer takeaway food if the cafe isn’t available for sit in. The staff are exceptionally friendly and will cater for all your needs. My girlfriend ordered a Salad bowl and I ordered a Falafel Burger with marinaded carrot and pan fried potatoes. The falafel burger was absolutely delicious and the pan fried potatoes were exceptional and they had a little crunch to the skin and they were complimented with a portion of what I believed to be their own vegan coleslaw which I also believed had their own sauce and it was absolutely sensational, it’s a real shame that this cafe is so far away from where I’m from as I would definitely be a regular consumer. While waiting for our food me and my girlfriend couldn’t help but over hear a conversation a member of the cafe staff was having with a customer. They really know their stuff when it comes to Veganism and discussing in great depth of organic foods instead of being subjected to processed foods. They really put in the hard work to make the most healthiest and nutritious meal for you. To top that off it’s all at a very reasonable price. I’m very happy this café exists and I’m glad I got to the opportunity to try it. Definitely one to remember.

Wonderful wholefood cafe - Edit
Small charming cafe located inside of a shopping centre, offering both takeaway and sit in service. Not too many tables but luckily we got seated. It can get very busy.
Read moreStaff incredibly knowledgable about the food that they produce and they make it all from scratch to make it both healthier and fresh.
The salad bowl was incredible, each component bringing a special element to the dish. I just hope that more places follow suit. Other delicious options were available on the menu such as burgers and platters.
For the quality of food and care implemented into the creation I would say just under £10 for a salad bowl isn't the worst price you could be paying. Definitely somewhere that I recommend trying and I have added it to my favourites!😄
Pros: Care implemented into creating the dishes , Delicious food, Knowledgable friendly staff
Cons: Small venue

Wholesome, nourishing and delicious! So good we visited again! - Edit
We found Simple Goodness by chance and how lucky were we? I had the pumpkin seed pate sandwich with mixed salad; it was absolutely outstanding! My OH had the tofu scramble sandwich with soup of the day - equally delicious. Although rather full, we decided to share the Victoria Sponge which was delightful. According to the person who served us, everything is vegan although they keep Cow’s milk for those that want it.

Beautiful lunch - Edit
What a lovely little vegan café! We stopped here for lunch after a walk around Penrith and wow, the food was delicious. We booked a table in advance as we saw it gets busy at lunch time (just as well as a lot of people got turned away after we arrived). We got the soup of the day (bean & loveage) which was delightfully smooth and really tasty. I also got the lentil cottage pie and my partner got the beetroot and walnut burger. Both dishes were absolutely beautifully presented and tasted even better than they looked! We both got a homemade herbal tea (throat carer & heartburn calmer) which were lovely and soothing. The service was spot on, very friendly and fast. Most of their food is organic, wholesome and locally sourced which we love😊 also doggies are very welcome here so Dizzy did not miss out either 🐕 We got shortbread biscuits, brownie and apple pie slice to takeaway which are very yummy too.10/10 🌿💖

Wholesome, heart felt good - Edit
I believe this establishment is now entirely vegan. They use a lot of organic ingredients and consciously decide on what products they use to reduce their carbon footprint. But what of the food? It was right up our street, we both had the salad bowl with their homemade bread- try the millet bread it is so light and delicious. The salad bowls were just amazing. So well thought out and everything was delicious. The owners are wonderful and you can feel that everything they offer is straight from their heart to yours. It’s hard these days to get delicious nutritious vegan food amongst the plethora of ‘junk food’ so this was so welcome. If we loved nearby we would be here all the time. #Veganuary
