Small Place, Big Taste

We stumbled across Shuk more or less by accident while looking for a quick snack — which, in the end, turned into something a little more substantial. It’s a small spot with a clear and well-curated selection of vegan options, and we were pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and fresh everything was.
We started with the classic warm chickpeas drizzled in olive oil and topped with fresh parsley, and my companion also added zhug – the spicy green one – which gave everything an extra kick. I went for the pita with falafel, hummus, tahini, cabbage salad, tomato, cucumber, and pickles. Very solid, well balanced, and satisfying.
But the absolute highlight for me — and one of the most memorable things I ate on this whole trip — was the roasted cauliflower with za’atar, date silan, and tahina. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had anything quite like it. The sauce was just out of this world. Sweet, savory, rich, and full of depth. I could’ve eaten three portions of it and still wanted more.
All in all, a fantastic and flavorful lunch stop. I would absolutely go back.

Good food but limited vegan options (for multiple visits)

The food was mostly great. One dish was ever so slightly "charred" beyond what I found tasty, but otherwise good. The staff was nice. However, we've been here multiple times now and the options are somewhat limited for vegans. And I don't think all vegan options are equally great compared to the vegetarian ones. Such as the shakshuka with vs without eggs and no other change. Bit pricy, but overall would definitely still recommend giving it a try.

Delicious

The quinoa tabbouleh is simply delicious. The falafel
and other plates I tried are also very good quality. Recommended !

Best falafel

Israeli street food restaurant with a lot of vegan options: out of 18 dishes on the menu, 9 are vegan, 6 vegetarian, and 3 with meat.
I had a pita falafel and I found it simply delicious, the best falafel I had in a lot of years!
It’s a pity that they still serve meat, with a bit of effort “purifying” their menu (they already have some vegan alternatives of traditional vegetarian dishes) they could be a great vegan restaurant!

Pros: Delicious falafel, Traditional Middle Eastern food, Outdoor seats

Cons: They offer meat
