Good breakfast spot for vegans

They have many vegan options and they're delicious. Nothing innovative, but fresh, tasty and big portions.

Just not good.

The vegan menu is online-only, which is a bad start. And its descriptions are deceptive: the "Benedict" doesn't have any bread at all despite it being mentioned twice in the description, and there is also no tofu. You will be served something akin to Just Egg if you order here.

The fruit salad was 80% cantaloupe, 20% honeydew. The potatoes had no seasoning except for salt. The eggs were topped with a sad smattering of wilted tomatoes and a tiny amount of basil and green onion. No flavour at all.

Had I known this was the new name of Grand-Mère Poule, I probably would've stayed away.

Would not recommend at all

I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The vegan chick platter isn’t worth it. The potatoes are bland, vegan eggs are okay, but the pancakes were inedible. Horrible texture and taste. I’m sure there are other vegan and better testing breakfast options in Montreal. Service also wasn’t good. Not sure why I had to ask for maple syrup for my pancakes 15 minutes after receiving my food.

Great vegan breakfast

The place is really original with a surf theme. There is a lot of seating area and a patio during summertime. I like that all the vegan options are labeled. The scrambled « eggs » are really good.

Vegan-friendly

Surfer-themed restaurant with a separate vegan menu. Download the menu from their website cause they don't always have the paper version!

Anyways, it's a great place to get brunch with carnists. They have breakfast plates with vegan scrambled eggs, potatoes and vegan pancakes. You can also get vegan poutine. I was pleasantly surprised!
