Awesome dinner tapas - Edit
Really enjoyed my meal here. Lots of labeled vegan options for dinner, including dessert. I came by myself and I came hungry and ordered the tofu sougar as well as the potato and sage phyllo pastry, I finished most of it with a little left over. So perhaps 3 dishes would be enough for 2 people to share.

A talented chef, now with a completely vegetarian spot - Edit
As other people have mentioned, the owner of this restaurant previously ran a beloved and creative non-vegetarian restaurant (Saha) in two other locations. His prior endeavors were extremely vegan-friendly and showcased his tremendous cooking skills.
Read moreNow he's back with a small but completely vegetarian (and primarily vegan) restaurant in the Inner Sunset, conveniently located right next to an N Judah streetcar stop. You should go! The food is beautiful and delicious.
There are different soups and desserts every day (always with a vegan option), so you can go back and be pleasantly surprised again and again.

Go eat here - Edit
I was looking for vegan lunch location following visit to DeYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park. This restaurant popped up close by. I am now in love. If you live nearby I am so jealous. I am already dreaming of the Green Spanish Melt and cold Cucumber Mint soup I had. My husband said the House Falafel was the best he'd had and he always tries it cuz its his favorite. Upon leaving with our full happy bellies, we saw the trays of homemade bread pudding and baklava--next time. We will be back!

Great addition to the veg scene! - Edit
Lawrence and Mohammed will totally take care of you in this new gem of a spot in inner Sunset. This is not your typical fast food shawarma place. Every item on the menu we tried (all six!) were lovingly created and overflowing in rich, savory flavors. Highlights were the Pulled King Trumpet Burger and Green Spanish Melt, as well as the cauliflower soup of day. If you want to tone down the richness, you can hold off on things like added mayo and sour cream, but we weren't complaining! Definitely a place to come back to again and again!

New Favorite in SF! - Edit
This place is just incredible. Nearly everything on the menu is vegan, clearly labeled, and you can taste the love and quality put into this food. We tried the sampler, samosas, mushroom knaffe, and….vegan crème brûlée for dessert! All were delicious and filling. I plan on returning many times to try all the vegan options!

This restaurant is exemplary in every way. I love it so much. Get the fennel baklava! Their menu changes all the time. The vibe is so low-key, but the food is out of this world. Seriously, guys, do not sleep on this place.

DELICIOUS - Edit
Chef Muhammad is kind, generous and helpful. The food was a different level of amazing. Falafel wrap and soup hit the spot on a cold and foggy sf day.

Excellent and flavorful mediterranean - Edit
Even though vegans usually have a decent amount of options with Mediterranean fare, you don't realize how much you're missing until you go to a place like Savor. It's a fully vegetarian menu, mostly vegan, and everything is incredible. Whether it's a Mediterranean flatbread 'pizza', platter of delicious hummus, baba ghanoush, etc., or quinoa cakes, everything is delicious.

Pros: All vegetarian, mostly vegan

Creative, delicious - Edit
I have been a fan of Mohamed Aboghanem's cooking for a long time having followed him from Saha in San Francisco to Berkeley and then back to San Francisco thus I was disappointed to learn that Saha was a pandemic casualty.
Read moreSo when I read a review of Savor on SF Eater I was very happy and it was for good reason.
Mo's latest venture is his first in the vegan/vegetarian-only world which gives him even more room to flex his veg culinary skills. He brings his Yemeni upbringing along with his culinary training and the result is a vibrant mix of both traditional and new creations that always have a complex spice blend.
Every item on the dinner menu is either vegan or it has a vegan option.
I have only been in for dinner so far and there is not one item I would not recommend. Not only that Mo usually has a couple of specials to add in.
Do yourself a favor, pay Mo a visit.

Fitting restaurant name - we savored every bite! - Edit
We ordered 3 appetizers and a sandwich and all were so delicious. The baby beets were my favorite - but we also had the wild mushroom knaffe and the potato torte. So glad we found this place. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Cozy Arabic Cafe and Restaurant - Edit
Small cozy arabic cafe in the inner sunset location. The service is great. The wait staff and Chef Mo were so kind and nice to us. The food was delicious. We had ordered the portabella Shwarma , Green Yemeni Stew (okara), and Trumpet Mushroom pulled burger. All came with a bowl of Dill soup. Chef Mo was so sweet seeing that I came with my mother who was in a wheelchair he served us two free vegan croissants which was delicious. I really loved the creamy dill soup which was vegan. Both the Shwarma and burgers would were toasted giving it a nice warm crunch. I especially found the trumpet mushroom delicious because of the nice buttery tasting buns. We also ordered turmeric latte using oat milk which was delicious. Its was a little pricey though.

Spectacular meal - Edit
A special meal in an unassuming space. We loved Mo’s food at Saha and were thrilled to learn he was making his final restaurant vegetarian with lots of vegan options. Everything is thoughtfully conceived, delicately executed, and delicious.

Great! - Edit
So glad to have found Chef Mohammed in the kitchen again. After spending time at the Cal Academy and Botanical Gardens we happened upon Savor for dinner last Friday. Once I saw Mo behind the bar, I knew I was in for a treat. Mushroom Pate is to die for as always, but I think the artichoke dip on the savor platter was this nights highlight. True to the name, every dish made me stop and consider all the complex flavors. You can't help but savor the experience.

Absolutely Delish Veggie and Vegan Food - Edit
This restaurant serves vegetarian and vegan food prepared in a Middle Eastern style. The flavors are unique and creative. I've rarely found such delicious and original vegan food. My favorite is the falafel. The chef, Mohamed, has been making amazing food in the SF Bay area for over 30 years. One of the best things is that the menu is about 90% vegan and almost any dish can be made vegan, just ask. Highly recommend.
