Yall ain’t ready✨ - Edit
Had a great time here ! I am vegan and my cousin is gluten free & vegetarian , and they had so many great options ! The staff was so kind in helping us decide on what to order. The food was so flavorful and delicious with great portion sizes, we got the pad Thai and the turmeric curry ramen , plus 2 hard kombucha on draft. I also grabbed a pack of vegan Chocolate chip cookies on the way out that were fantastic. Plus, it was as super close to our hotel which was amazing ! A great vegan spot in Santa Monica ! Would highly recommend.

Very kind Service + Good Food - Edit
I ordered the mushroom curry as well as tapioca dessert. Loved both of them! Their counter also has takeaway vegan chocolate chip cookies which taste really healthy. Excited to try the other items.

Amazing! Top LA restaurant - Edit
I can’t say enough amazing things about the chef and her exquisite flavors. I travel the world and eat at plant-based restaurants all the time and cannot wait to always come back home to Satdha. Her menu has so many great items that are flavorful, clean, authentic. Her desserts are to die for…and the granola is perfect. This restaurant is hands down one of the best restaurants in LA (that happens to be plant based)! Go check it out!!

Tasty but tiny portions - Edit
LA is fortunate to have many fine Thai vegan restaurants. When I found Satdha, less than a mile from my son's soccer game, and read the reviews, getting takeout seemed like a no-brainer.
Read moreFor three people, I ordered beet dyed noodles, pad thai, yellow curry, and tom kha. The food was ready when we stopped by, nice people, restaurant seemed cozy and inviting.
Got home, opened the bag, and we were all stunned by the tiny containers. Having gotten takeout from probably a dozen Thai places, I would say the servings were about half the typical size though prices were the same.
It was all good, but if I'd known, I would have ordered a couple more items.

3 days later still thinking about this meal - Edit
Snap pea salad and beet dyed noodles hit the spot. Finished my meal with mango sticky rice. Seriously can’t stop thinking about how good this meal was from service to food to atmosphere.

Bold Flavors - Edit
The menu had unusual dishes, and I love that the chef experiments with bold flavor combinations.
Read moreWe got some endive cups, which came with some cold tuna-ish salad, that had coconuts and cashews and was yet quite spicy. Absolutely loved it. We got a shallot, tempeh stir fry with rice which was also amazing, the sauce was garlicky and just slightly tangy to round it off. The kabocha squash soup with ginger felt pretty good on a rainy evening.
The only dish we didn't like much was the Tod Munn, which was just roasted chunks of chickpea flour, that came with a super-tangy sweet sauce.

Where’s the food? - Edit
The good: all plant based thai food with flavorful ingredients.
Read moreThe not so good: the portions is way off balance at this establishment for the price point. I even found a hair on my plate. 🥴
I ordered the Vermicelli with mung bean coconut curry peanut sauce. The sauce was flavorful but they served the dish with way more sauce than actual noodles (see picture). I was also served more scallion onions than noodles. It was really confusing and ridiculous that we had to laugh about it just so when the check came it didn’t feel as painful. For $16 the price for the dish I ordered is just way too high for what is being served as a meal. We also ordered the pad thai and had a similar experience with small portions. I double checked their online menu gallery to see if it was a mistake but they advertise small bite portions.
Overall the flavor is good, the menu is not so typical of the standard vegan thai restaurant. However the small portions, the high price point and the hair on my plate leaves me to never return.

Delicious Vegan Thai!!! - Edit
I am so impressed with Satdha Kitchen! You MUST get the beet dyed noodles and snap pea salad - you will not regret this!! I've also tried the Pad Thai and Green Curry - both are amazing!! The Green Curry is incredible, so flavorful - I would definitely recommend it. Catfish Eggplant is super yummy but make sure you’re with a group, it’s a large dish! Very excited to try out the rest of the menu :)

A Satdha in every town, please! - Edit
What a treat! The food at Satdha is outstanding. We started with crispy mung bean croquette and tod munn, which look like fish cakes and taste sweet and chewy. The beet dyed noodles have an amazing delicious nutty flavor. The catfish eggplant is a crispy delight in red sauce, with beautiful and delicious young peppercorns. We finished with the coconut black sticky rice with mango. Yum!
