Filipino Goodies - Edit
So much nostalgia came flooding back. Got so much and everything was actually some of the best versions of each, vegan or not. Made a pilgrimage and it was beyond worth it. I recommend everything but especially the pandan sago, bibingka, pan de coco, ube cheez pandesal, cheezy ensaymada, and the bitsu bitsu.

I’ve never had Filipino baked goods but am so glad I stopped by this bakery. The pandan cinnamon roll, marble cake, and sweet rolls were incredible. I will need to visit again soon!! 10/10 would recommend!

Must try! Everything I had was great and they have several delicious GF options. The bitsu-bitsu was my favorite. I also got the cassava cake, pandan sago, and their “egg” salad sandwich. Please support them if you can, these small businesses are what makes our communities so beautiful!!!

I caught the San and Wolves stand at Baryo Hifi and got to taste a few things. This is my first taste of Filipino baked goods, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I got the Spanish Bread (a little too dry and doughy for my taste), bibingka (pretty good, interesting texture), ube crumb cup (absolutely amazing. Smooth, crumbly, just the right amount of sweetness). I'll definitely be checking out their brick and mortar store if I'm in LB.

We've been chasing sanandwolves around pop ups for years now, and I'm so happy they have a shop of their own. Don't be intimidated if you don't have a good vocabulary of pinoy pastries yet because you will learn! We love the malasada, bibingka, pandesal, and everything ube. If you're a vegan living outside of Long Beach and wondering if it's worth making a pilgrimage over here, the answer is YES! I highly recommend arriving before 11am if you want a good selection still available. The last time we went, they were totally sold out by 1pm

We visited this place for the first time and got greedy, lol and ordered a lot! Nothing disappointed us. We went there around 8.30am and there was already a long waiting line outside the place. We were told that many items run out quickly and we could see why.
I can’t remember the names of what all ordered but I will try and describe them. We ordered the pandan pudding, (ube pudding ran out just in front of us, wanted to try that too), the ube and pandan cinnamon rolls, a cheesy bun, sliders, a scone and I can’t describe how much we loved and enjoyed eating them!
This place just might become our staple bakery from now on. They are vegan so yayyyy!
One drawback was that lot of plastic waste and they are sold in to-go containers. I wish, we had some other alternatives that is affordable for them too.

They recently opened a brick and mortar in Long Beach and the line was extremely long. I waited nearly 2 hours. By the time I got to order, most of the popular items were already gone. I was able to try the bibingka which was pretty good. Look forward to coming back in the future when the buzz dies down and the wait time is more manageable.

A new Vegan Filipino bakeshop is opening in Long Beach Feb 6, 2025. They were a pop up business that now has a small shop. Please support this new vegan bakery.

There is only a small space to serve 1 group of customers. Thus, there is a line forming outside to get in. The service was friendly and patiently.
I went to their soft opening last weekend. Their baked goods are not overly sweet and I love it(maybe it is Asian thing). I don’t like overly sweet desserts. The flavors are Asian flavors like pandan, black sesame, ube, cassava, etc.
I bought Black Sesame Cinnamon Rolls, Ube Pandesal, Cassava Cake, a slice of Pandan Caramel Cake, Chocolate Krinkle Cookies and Bibingka. Yeah, it was a lot (I guess I was super excited about it) as it was 30 minutes drive to get there for us. #Veganuary

Great vegan ube - Edit
This is a great popup bake shop in California. They also do pre-orders. The Ube is FANTASTIC! They were the first established vegan Filipinx bakery, originally from Brooklyn, NY.

Vegan ube💜 - Edit
I visited the pop up shop while in California for a couple of days, but unfortunately when I arrived, everything was sold out except only one baked good (chocolate ube ensaymada). I was looking forward to trying much more but that alone was still delicious! Also, because the man working saw that I was disappointed since I was going back to Montreal soon, he kindly gave me the last baked good for free.
