Small menu, everything fantastic. Incredible pad thai inspired rissoto, the best tapas Iv ever had and lovely drinks. Definitely need to call and book ahead as they are very busy but it's clear why. Easily the best vegan meal Iv tried on the island

The staff here are lovely! So helpful, happy and clearly wanted us to enjoy our experience and we certainly did.
We are trying to learn Spanish and the staff were incredibly patient with us. They gave us explanations of the food and drinks in Spanish and English.
The menu was simple but good. We thoroughly enjoyed the home made cheeses, aoli and pasta. Our favourite dish was the tapas starter that gave a great selection of food. It was fantastic to be away and have such good food available in a town where vegan options are limited.
I loved all the home made drinks such as kombucha and lemonade.
The location is amazing. Just a short walk from a lovely relatively quiet beach, with cheap sun loungers (4€ for the day) and exceptional snorkeling. It's also close to an abandoned village that was due to be a leapor colony.
It's worth a day trip to come here. I would happily return again.

Update December 2023: I came back twice and loved everything just as much as during the last holiday. All food I tried was just lovely, just as the friendly, helpful and attentive service.

Samelo pretty much adds up the best of all possible vegan worlds.
The food tastes brilliant (I loved the homemade cheeses in the starter), the place itself is so pretty and clean, service was quick, helpful and really friendly, it's dog-friendly and the location next to the sea is just too good to be true.
I really, really wanna go back.
If you plan on going, make sure to book a table well in advance.

Samelo Veg in Abades is a nice place to enjoy a vegan and gluten free menu. The staff is very friendly and the location very nice. Consider the opening hours and that the local can be very full (better do a reservation!).

The reviews here are accurate. An amazing gem of vegan delight. We went there on Sunday March 12/23. We had both cheese plates, the cannelloni and the portebello mushroom burger. Every mouthful was delicious and one could taste the care and skill that went into each dish.

This is one of my top three vegan restaurants in Tenerife. It's run by an Italian couple and combines classical Italian and Spanish dishes. The location is a bit far from my place, but very close to the shore with great views.
Read moreI've been here about five times and always left completely satisfied. The quality of the meals is outstanding, including the desserts. Service is very nice and friendly, while prices are moderate. It's a must for every vegan traveling to Tenerife. The place is popular, so better have a reservation!

The food experience extremely delicious. Every thing is homemade. Literally homemade. They are only open for like 12 hours a week bc the three people have to prepare everything at home. The prices are a bit higher than usually in this area but it sooooo worth it.

También la pasta casera,les queda increíble siempre. Para beber se pueden disfrutar cervezas artesanales o un clásico de Samelo como su mojito de Kefir.
Sus tartas son el broche perfecto a una buena comida.
El servicio es rápido y muy atento, la relación calidad/precio perfecta.
Si vienes a Tenerife es uno de los restaurantes que no debes dejar de visitar.
Reservar con antelación porque se llena.
