Great place to try vegan versions of Vietnamese dishes - Edit
My boyfriend and I chose this restaurant because we wanted to eat a dish with broken rice. We ordered both broken rice dishes, as well as some fresh spring rolls and were each given a small bowl of complimentary soup. We also ordered a passion fruit juice and a soya milk with chia seeds. Everything was delicious and only came to 187 VND. The restaurant was busy with locals (we went at lunch time) but we were seen quickly. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Easy to find along the street, staff member with reasonable English, plus the menu has English translation. Clean and basic environment.

I had a bowl of the vegan pho and a steamed bun. Could be the best vegan pho I had in my three weeks in Vietnam!!! Our server was also very friendly and spoke some English

Good but not amazing - Edit
Lots of vegan options but it's difficult to understand what you order because the translation of the menu is bad (we order broccoli and we got cauliflower)

Amazing - Edit
I only made a account to rate this place! Me and my friend absolutely loved it! Some of the best if not the best noodle soup we had in Vietnam, also the steamed buns are the best we had in Asia! Can’t recommend this place enough

Great pho - Edit
Really enjoyed my meal here. The pho was delicious and everything was reasonably priced considering how close it was to some of the main tourist attractions (eg war remnants museum).
Read moreThey were overly generous with the amount of sugar added to my passion fruit juice however, so make sure to ask for no sugar if you're not a fan of the extra sweetness like me!

OK food and price - Edit
I visited this place twice during my stay in Saigon and tried banh mi, banh bot location (Tapioca dumplings) and fresh coconut. My friend had hu tieu. The food was lovely but used lots of fake meat. The price wasn't very cheap compared to some other restaurants.

Banh Mi was soooo good! - Edit
Small menu but everything we had was amazing. The Banh Mi was amazeballs! The pho was flavorful, the steamed buns also good. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Ho Chi Minh, didn't have time to go back again but definitely would! Very reasonably priced also.

Fantastic service and food - Edit
This was unfortunately the last place I visited in Ho Chi Minh which is a shame because I would have loved to go here again. Wanted to try the traditional “broken rice” dish. It was delicious, and when we asked for it vegan without egg, the server came out with a little plate of extra fake meat for us. Then later brought some fresh fruit for us to try free of charge. We also grabbed a Banh Mi and some bao buns to take away and they were some of the best we’ve had. Lots of fake meat and fresh herbs and vegetables. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Fantastic - Edit
Really friendly staff, great space and entirely vegan menu. The Bahn mi stall out the front also does vegetarian & vegan (without mayo) Bahn Mi. It’s very cheap and honestly the best vegan Pho I’ve had in Ho Chi Minh so far. Can not recommend enough

So glad we stopped - Edit
We took a harrowing moto taxi ride here and were so excited to find a cheap and delicious menu, and a woman who spoke english to tell us that there was real mayonnaise on the Bahn mi. We loved everyone and two of us feasted for under $5. We also took some snacks for the road!

All Vegan! All Delicious! - Edit
I took a trip to Sala with my non-vegan boyfriend and even he loved the amazing flavours they have to offer! They mainly offer Pho Style dishes. Very quirky and endearing interior, low prices and hearty portions . They even have fresh coconut water, straight from the fruit on the menu! Would highly recommend Sala to any vegan or non-vegan.

Cheap cheap Báhn mi - Edit
The staff were really friendly and the báhn mi cost just 17,000 VND. Pretty clean, English menu and huge fresh coconuts for 20,000 VND. Perfect first lunch in Ho Chi Minh.

Basic Vietnamese Food - Edit
The menu is quite small and focuses on standard Vietnamese foods - soups and rice dishes. The soup I had was very tasty.
Read moreA big plus of Sala is the vegan Banh Mi stall outside so you can pull onto the pavement and get a take away banh mi. They are open for breakfast so this fills what I find to be a big gap in the market - early morning takeaway banh mi.
Prices are very cheap including drinks and staff are very friendly. There is virtually no English spoken but the menu is in Vietnamese and English.
Pros: Opens early , Tasty food , Cheap prices
