Nice sitting outside, ok lunch - Edit
Went for lunch, had 3 bowls of falafel salad rice and veggies. Was ok. Falafel slightly too fried. Lentil soup was watery but good. Quick lunch option for in the area

One of my favorite lunch spots - Edit
Sajj was the once new work lunch spot in town. Now it has become a staple. So much so that when I returned to SF for work, I had to hit it up.
Read moreSajj borrows from the Chipotle model. Walk up to the counter, order your base (salad, rice) and protein (falafel for vegans), and point to as many sides as you want. Favs include eggplant, cauliflower, chickpeas, pickles, garlic hummus, and baba ganoush. The choices can seem overwhelming. It’s probably why Sajj recently rolled out a vegan platter to take the guesswork out. Comes with a side of lentil soup.
Two locations, one in the FIDI and the other in SOMA on 2nd. With so many places still closed due to the pandemic, it was nice to discover that Sajj was open and was serving its delicious food.
