Wir haben uns sehr auf unseren Besuch in diesem Restaurant gefreut und sind extra über 30 Minuten zu Fuß hingelaufen. Leider wurden wir bereits beim Eintreten eher abweisend empfangen. Obwohl laut Öffnungszeiten geöffnet war, wirkte es nicht so, als würde man mit Gästen rechnen. Die Betreiberin war sichtlich irritiert über unsere Anwesenheit, wir fühlten uns von Anfang an nicht willkommen.

Wir bestellten sofort eine 0,5L Flasche Wasser im Restaurant, wurden aber trotzdem wegen der mitgebrachten Flasche mehrfach belehrt, unterbrochen und letztlich sehr unhöflich behandelt. Die Betreiberin drohte uns sogar damit, uns nicht zu bedienen, wenn wir ihr die Flasche nicht aushändigen würden – obwohl wir bereits signalisiert hatten, dass wir sie nicht benutzen und auch bereit waren, sie außer Sicht zu legen. Wir hätten sie sogar gerne entsorgt, wenn mit uns vernünftig und höflich gesprochen worden wäre.
Die Atmosphäre war insgesamt unangenehm – das Restaurant war leer, unaufgeräumt und machte keinen besonders sauberen Eindruck. Wir hätten gerne lokal unterstützt und auch gut gegessen, aber die gesamte Stimmung war so unfreundlich, dass wir uns entschieden haben zu gehen, noch bevor wir etwas bestellen konnten.
Vielleicht hatte die Betreiberin einfach einen schlechten Tag – aber wir finden, als Gast sollte man sich dennoch respektvoll behandelt fühlen dürfen. Leider können wir diesen Ort daher nicht empfehlen.

Sie kamen an, als es geschlossen war. Ich war beim Putzen und habe mich bereit erklärt, ihnen als Gefallen zu helfen. In diesem Moment bemerkte ich, dass sie Getränke mitbrachten, die sie außerhalb des Restaurants gekauft hatten, was VERBOTEN ist, da die Haftpflichtversicherung des Unternehmens die Mitnahme von Speisen und Getränken von außerhalb nicht zulässt. Angesichts der Gefahr, die Ihr Verhalten für mein Geschäft darstellte, wurden Sie freundlich gebeten, das Lokal zu verlassen, ohne dass Ihnen etwas serviert wurde. Ich habe das gesetzliche Recht, Personen den Zutritt zu verweigern, die die gesetzlichen Regeln der Einrichtung nicht respektieren. Dies war der Fall und diese Rezension ist die Rache eines Hassers.

Wir kamen um 12:30 an. Auf dem Schild an ihrem Laden stand, dass ab 12:00 Uhr geöffnet ist. Wir fragten sogar noch einmal höflich nach, ob geöffnet sei und sagten, dass wir auch wieder gehen können, falls es nicht passt. Uns wurde auch das Wasser serviert, was wir natürlich zahlen mussten. Es ist schade, dass Sie nicht kritikfähig sind. Wir sind immer froh über jedes vegane Restaurant und wollten Sie wirklich gerne unterstützen. Wir wären auch bereit gewesen das Wasser (was lediglich für unseren 30 minütigen Weg zu Ihnen genutzt wurde) zu entsorgen, wenn man uns freundlich gebeten hätte. Wir haben uns ja sogar sofort dafür entschuldigt, dass wir es nicht besser wussten! Es ist außerdem wirklich sehr schade, dass man nun auch noch als Hasser betitelt wird, weil man enttäuscht über diese Erfahrung ist. Ich kann nur sagen, dass wir danach in einem anderen veganen Restaurant waren und dort ganz anders behandelt wurden.

Read moreI came here on a Friday at 7:30 PM, on my last evening in Palma. When I walked in, there was only one guest sitting in the restaurant. I greeted the owner with a smile and asked if I could sit outside. When I told her I only wanted to have a quick dessert (I was still full from a late lunch), she dismissed me quite rudely because "this is a restaurant, not a cafeteria."
Maybe I could understand if the place had been full, but it was nearly empty. Such a lack of hospitality. Only now, reading the other reviews, I see I’m not the only one who had an unpleasant encounter with this rude woman.
Instead, I wholeheartedly recommend Alubia, Mujer de Verde, and especially Ca n'Ela.

Das Restaurant liegt ein wenig unpopulär. Beim Betreten schiesst einem gleich das eher wilde Ambiente ins Auge. Cozy ist anders. Aber dann kam Sandra mit der Karte. Natürlich wurde die Lasagne geordert. „Famous“ und das absolut verdient. Wie eine Moussaka nur halt mit Pasta (wie sie selbst sagt). Bis jetzt die beste vegane Lasagne. Sie möchte mit ihrem Restaurant den Leuten das vegane Essen näher bringen. Absolute Passion. Sie macht alles alleine. Darum werde ich niemals ein Punkt für das Ambiente abziehen können. Sandra und Ihr veganes Essen sind großartig.

Excelente elaboración, platos exquisitos - Edit
Sandra es una cocinera excelente. En su rinconcito de Palma se puede disfrutar de unos platos elaborados con cariño y con mucha creatividad, los sabores son simplemente geniales. ¿Quién se atreve a servir jackfruit? Sandra, y lo hace presentando un tartar delicioso, acompañado de aguacate y arroz, muy bien marinado. La hamburguesa está estupenda y la lasaña bien se merece el premio que ganó. El postre de chocolate está hecho con tanto mimo y creatividad que desborda sabor y calidad. Ojalá tenga mucho éxito y muchas gracias por respetar a los animales :)

A really amazing place just a short walk from the city centre. The food is made with love by the owner herself. We had the soup of the week and the vegan tartar as a starter and the famous lasagna as a main course. Everything was really tasty! 10/10

It's a nice place, very calm at the time of our visit. We had potatoes with two types of sauce for starters - very tasty. I tried the lasagna and my partner had TeX Mex tacos. Both very filling and delicious. I also liked the music that was playing in the background - bossa nova covers of 80' and 90' hits 🙂

If you are willing to walk out of the centre to Sabores de Sandra, it is worth it!! This place was amazing!!! The service was fabulous, Sandra was so kind and welcoming. The food was so good and I couldn't believe it was vegan! The timing was good especially as she informed us that it would take longer due to her being alone in the kitchen. The restaurant was lovely. The burger was amazing and homemade and the homemade sauce was sooo good. Thank you Sandra

Probably the best crispy potatoes I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the Canarian style potatoes and homemade sauce. And even the sauces were incredible. One sweet and one spicy. To drink, I had homemade lemonade with mint and it was so delicious! You can tell Sandra makes everything with love and care and takes pride in what she serves.

I had quite a rough start to my time in Palma with a 3 hour flight delay and barely eating anything on the day I arrived, followed by an emergency in the morning and needing to work.
Read moreAfter 2 days of barely eating, the wonderful restaurant Sandra created was absolutely everything I needed. I had the lasagne, which I think was a mix of vegan mince and lentils, and honestly I couldn’t have imagined a better meal. I felt so much better afterwards, full but in a content and happy kind of way.
The homemade Kombucha deserves its own shoutout because it is the first time I tasted one that is a smooth as this.
The raw cake also was fresh and excellent. I may come back again to eat before I leave.
Also Sandra, the owner. What a star! She served, cooked my meal and made sure I got a taxi (as a woman travelling alone, I certainly appreciated that).
Please visit and support her, I believe she will look after anyone who visits with as much care and attention as she did for me!

Had to get the legendary lasagne - definitely the best one I’ve had since going vegan. Full of umami and had amazing crispy bits at the sides. Husband got the tacos - tasty (and very spicy) but messy. Took a while for the food to arrive but we were warned about the wait beforehand. Was a tad expensive but genuinely didn’t mind given how good the lasagne was!

I really really wanted to love this place because I want to support it and it’s clearly a vegan institution in Palma. The two nights before we went to ca’n ela and La mujer verde which were both incredible so maybe we’re also comparing too much.
Read moreThat said, I feel like the 5* reviews are a little misleading and all the 1* and 2* reviews on Google and tripadvisor can be a little harsh, so wanted to try and leave a balanced review.
Sandra was lovely to us (a lot of the reviews note that she is rude etc but we didn’t experience this). She clearly puts a lot of love into the food and that’s wonderful.
The food was good, but we were disappointed that it was all microwaved. It’s just not what you’d expect from a restaurant, and not one with these prices.
We had the lasagne and burger. The lasange was good - it’s not cheap but we didn’t mind the price. The burger was very salty and wasn’t worth €26 for a burger and sweet potato fries in our opinion. We wouldn’t even pay that in London.
The service wasn’t bad (again noting a lot of reviews comment on this). It wasn’t particularly fast but didn’t really bother us because we weren’t in a hurry, but I understand why people may comment on this especially when you’re the only people there.
The ambiance is really lacking unfortunately. We were one of two couples in the place and it just doesn’t have any atmosphere which is a real shame. Decor is obviously personal taste but in my opinion, the place could really do with a refresh as it feels quite dated. On top of this, the ventilation was really poor. I don’t feel like you see this too often now because most places have a good ventilation system, which means you notice it even more when you leave and your clothes really really smell. Not the worst thing but something to note.
I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place but if you’re keen to support a vegan business, it’s not a bad pit stop, if you’re aware of what you’re getting in advance.

For dessert, the 3 of us shared an excellent chocolate mousse that came with strawberries.
Overall, the food was great, the atmosphere was lovely and the owner was fabulous, but the service was a little slow with everything being prepared fresh. I can live with that though 😊.
