Favorite pasta dish ever! - Edit
I had the pasta Alla Norma. Expecting it to be good, but it was totally exceptional! The pasta was freshly made and the flavors were perfect with a terrific crunch from the almonds. All was organic and sustainable. I don’t mind paying extra for that although the prices are very reasonable anyway. The service was genuine, knowledgeable and made us feel so welcome. Setting is precious. Can’t wait to go back tomorrow!!!

Tasty but limited - Edit
We just stopped by to get a panini (€5) but when the waiter ushered us go a table, the menu was different to the one on the wall - the wall menu was apparently only takeaway, but we were happy to sit in and have lunch anyway so we both ordered the vegan main course of glazed tofu with grilled fennel. It was really tasty, very good quality food! However, there wasn't very much on the plate - I wouldn't have called it a main course... (Unless you did the Italian tradition of eating several pre-courses I guess?). It also cost €12 which is a little steep for a few bits of tofu and 2 slices on fennel, but they make a point of using only organic, high-quality ingredients, so I suppose that explains the price. The staff were all super friendly and the restaurant was really cosy! We got offered some complimentary starters since we didn't order any (sadly we couldn't eat them as they contained cheese), so that was very kind of them!

Vegan options - Edit
Few clearly marked vegan options on the menu. Croissants, soy coffee, pasta dish, salad, tofu main course, and chocolate mousse as a dessert. Before the dinner they also provide you with bread and olive oil. Very nice staff. Recommended.

Average breakfast with one vegan option - Edit
I expected better from this cafe from the reviews. Unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing. The options for vegan are very limited. One vegan breakfast “The Rosemary” included one vegan croissant, soy cappuccino and a small fruit salad. The croissant was pretty good, very sweet with a sugary glaze. I asked for a jam to spread on which seemed to confuse the waiter and he said “If you get the jam croissant it’s not vegan” and it turns out they have a jam filled croissant that is in fact not vegan. I simply explained that I would like jam on the side. He brought me some sort of apple jam which was nice in the end. The coffee was pretty good considering we have had some absolutely terrible coffee in Italy (Australian standard is high). The fruit salad was very small and was clearly from the day before as it was mushy and appeared old. Pretty lazy considering they are a juice bar and display tons of fresh fruit in the front counter. That being said, I did not finish the fruit salad. I understand breakfast in Italy is usually a sweet pastry and an espresso but this was just so average.
Read moreWaiter was friendly but my husband who does not eat pork and specifically asked for no ham in his omelette was served the omelette with ham. I was also not given any cutlery and had to go up and ask for it.
Would not go back. Save yourself the disappointment and walk further for a better place that caters specifically for vegans.
Pros: Vegan croissants , Okay coffee , Quick service
Cons: Only one vegan option , Inexperienced staff (maybe a language barrier) , Expensive for average food
