Friendly atmosphere - Edit
The service was friendly and fast.
Read moreThe menu is fairly straightforward though I wish there were more vegan options and 'veganising' an item wouldn't cost extra.
I had the Bagel with smashed avocado, lemon & chilli, which tasted well. The bagel was warm and the seeds on top were a good addition.
Dogs are encouraged in here as well.

Also for take away - Edit
We were looking for take away because we had to catch a train. Unfortuantly we had no time to drink or eat inside the coffee shop. I had a nice baguette, which was freshly made and tasty.

Nice Place; Pretty Good for Vegans! - Edit
This is the first of currently two Reubens locations, Reuben's Cafe and Coffee is a modern and comfortable cafe in central Holyhead. The cafe serves breakfast till 11:30 and serves cakes, coffee, and bagels all day.
Read moreThe vegan options on the menu are labelled, including the dishes, which can be made vegan. Reubens has oatmilk available, along with vegan bakes such as Cinnamon Classic bun and Ultimate Carrot cake. The vegan dishes available during my visit included:
- Smashed Avacado, Lemon & Chilli on Everything Bagel
- Falafel, Hummus, Mixed Leaf on Everything Bagel.
- Vegan Cheese & Pesto Ciabatta Panini.
- Vegan Breakfast
- Avacado on Sourdough
I had an Iced Latte with Oat Milk, Smashed Avacado, Lemon & Chilli on Everything Bagel, and a Classic Cinnamon bun. The iced coffee was really nice and was very attractively presented, and I also enjoyed the cinnamon bun. This was actually the first time for me to try this widely stocked vegan bake. The bagel was good too, and the bread itself was delicious, but I couldn't taste the chilli, so I feel it could have done with more of a kick for my personal taste.
The service at Reubens is great, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Vegan options are clearly labelled, and there is a decent enough range available, but the options are not especially imaginative. I'm not very familiar with the eating scene in Holyhead, but this is a safe bet for vegans who are into their independent coffee shops and who are after a simple light lunch or breakfast.
Pros: Good Coffee, Good Service, Clearly Labelled Vegan Options, Nice Food, Nice Space
Cons: Only Stocks Oat Milk, Only 2 Vegan Bakes Available During Visit

Nice little place - Edit
The interior is modern and inviting, the staff is very friendly and the vegan options are quite tasty. I agree with the other that compared to places in a big city this is nothing special but coming to this little town it was great to find a place like this. The pesto and cheese ciabatta was yummy and the coffee with oat milk was really good

Good-especially for the area - Edit
Maybe this place wouldn’t blow you away in other locations, but in a small town with limited options it offers decent toasted sandwich and breakfast/brunch options. It’s also a light, clean, modern place to sit.

Decent enough - Edit
Fairly priced vegan options in general, though there is a surcharge applied for plant based alternatives, ie; mylk and cheeze.

Tasty - Edit
On the menu they have a vegan pesto and cheese sandwich which was very tasty and a avo bagel. The downside is that you have to pay a vegan tax in the form of an extra pound to make the panini vegan.

Nice relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Read moreNot many plant based options on the menu, so opted for the vegan panini. Crispy and delicious , although a bit messy to eat .

Limited options but nice - Edit
I asked about vegan options and unfortunately they had run out of vegan cheese but they had an avocado bagel with chilli and lemon. I also had an oat milk flat white. The bagel was very nice and the coffee was strong which is great. It’s a nice place to sit in and lovely staff.
