Vegan langos - Edit
Flavour of the dough, vegan cheese used and vegan sour cream was spot on. The best in Budapest! Reminds me of trips to Hungary when I was a little kid.

A decent vegan afterthought - Edit
The lángos I got was pretty decent and tasted just like the stuff I used to eat as a child in the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, it is still this heavy, oily, fried piece of dough served with other fatty condiments, but that’s not the place’s fault, I suppose. What I found faulty, though, is that their vegan options felt like an afterthought. The place is very much not vegan, but it seems to have added the two (very similar) vegan options to expand their reach. They have an open kitchen, and it didn’t look like they used separate equipment or paid any particular attention to the dish’s being vegan.

I don’t usually have junk vegan food because it bothers my stomach but I’ve been looking forward to trying a langos since the last time I was in Budapest 4 years ago. Finally made it here and that vegan basic langos was the nicest thing I’ve ever eaten. It was crispy, creamy and just delicious. I can’t recommend it enough. Great, traditional vegan langos - Edit
The place is very busy and tables cannot be booked in advance. The sitting is very small and inside it is more a place to have a quick langos, but not really to stay for much longer. If the weather is nice, the outside sitting area, is maybe more inviting to sit for a while. The langos tastes super good and is prepared freshly to order. For vegans there are also a few options to choose from. Can really recommend to come here when in Budapest.

there were two vegan options and we got both - one with sour cream and cheese, another the same with added vegetables (tomatoes, olives, jalapeños, red onion). soooooo tasty, i love being able to get vegan versions of traditional foods! they are greasy but its deep fried dough so i expected nothing less. i also loved the sriracha bottles they had available, went so well with the toppings :)

It was nice to see they put a sticker on the vegan one so you know it’s not been mixed up.

Ein trubeliger Ort mit viel Durchlauf. Bestellt wird drinnen an der Theke. Getränke sind sehr teuer, die Langos auch eher hochpreisig für ungarisches Essen. Jedoch lohnt es sich geschmacklich sehr. Gibt ja selten die Möglichkeit vegane Langos zu essen und die hier sind sehr authentisch und lecker. Es gibt nur zwei zur Auswahl, einmal klassisch und einmal mit Gemüse drauf. Es gibt aber auch glutenfreie Optionen.
