Unforgettable Experience - Edit
What an unforgettable experience! My partner and I visited Es Garum in early November during a late-season spa holiday. As vegans, we weren't sure what to expect, but when we made the booking through our hotel, Cas Comte, we were assured that our dietary preferences would be fully catered to.
Read moreUpon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Chef David himself, who was working front-of-house during the quieter season. His hospitality was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We didn’t even need to look at a menu; David had personally curated a special 5-6 course meal for us and was happy to recommend wines that complemented the dishes perfectly.
For a non-vegan restaurant in a small town in rural Mallorca, the food was absolutely exceptional. From the grilled mushroom dish to the velvety soup, the fresh bread with oils, and the flavorful ramen—each course exceeded our expectations. David's personal touch throughout the evening made it feel like a truly unique experience, which is so rare to find.
We were so impressed that we booked directly with David to return later in the week for a Vegan Paella. Once again, the meal was outstanding, and the experience was just as memorable as the first.
We cannot recommend David and Es Garum enough. It’s a true gem, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
