Go to the Osaka Castle one... - Edit
Okay here me out...it's *not* bad. I rate my ramen in three categories: noodles, meat, broth.
Read moreThe noodles were pretty decent but not the best. The "meat" which I'm assuming is seitan, is spot on with the char-grilled flavor. The broth, however, was not so good. A little too oily and not enough garlic flavor.
I came here because this ramen chain has a few other shops that offer this vegan ramen. Originally, I was so excited but once I tried it, I was a little disappointed in the flavor as it was no where close to the other location near Osaka Castle.
TL;DR -If you have time and want to try good ramen in Osaka, go to the Osaka Castle one instead. Much more worth the money.

This is a fun place - friendly staff (but you order with a digital tablet) the vegan choices are limited but ramen and vegan meat is quite delicious, nice price too. Try it out!

I think they did a pretty good job of clearly stating “no honey, gelatin, white sugar” on the vegan policy!
Vegan tonkotsu ramen, tasted creamy like carbonara, which was a bit surprising, but I think the vegan chashu pork was pretty chashu in flavor！

If this was a fully vegan restaurant, it would definitely get a 5 stars rating! This ramen never disappoints. Honestly, the best ramen I’ve come across in Osaka. They have only onw type of ramen but it is worth it. Even my lovely “dead bodies eaters” LOVE this ramen. Thanks for attention🙂↕️

After dining at the location in the Osaka station, we were excited to find this spot while shopping in the area. They only had the soy ramen available. It was not rich and creamy like the ones we had at the station. The spicy ramen and vegan gyoza were also blocked off for ordering. My family didn’t enjoy the taste of the ramen and were disappointed with the flavors and options of ramen. The dining area were also dusty. I recommend going to Moon and Back in the Hep 5 mall which is also close by in the area for vegan ramen.

Best veg ramen I’ve had in Japan - Edit
LOVED the vegan tonkotsu style ramen. The vegan ”meat” (seitan I believe) was chewy, smokey and charred. Delicious! The broth was rich and creamy with a soy milk and sesame base, and very flavourful as well. Definitely recommend!

The vegan ramen served at the Shin-Osaka Station and Morinomiya stores has now been launched at the Hankyu Higashidori store. KIOU's vegan ramen is consistent and really delicious.
