Crispy, plentiful batter - Edit
I had the vegan battered banana blossom and chips - my first ever vegan ‘fish and chips’ - and it hit the spot. The batter was crispy and light, and plentiful as the banana blossom was more ‘shredded’ than moulded into a fillet or patty. The triple cooked chips were great, although I did need to add a little extra salt to get that ‘chippy takeaway’ vibe. Some vinegar would have sealed the deal completely. It would have been nice if, instead of vegan mayonnaise, it came with a vegan tartare sauce, but that won’t stop me going again and ordering it all again.
Read moreI also ordered a garden side salad. Be warned - it was very heavily dressed in extra virgin olive oil, which almost ruined it. So, if you for the salad, maybe order the dressing on the side.
Otherwise, it’s a lovely pub with friendly vibes and welcoming staff.

Fantastic vegan Wellington - Edit
Went there for the Sunday roast and the Wellington was excellent as were the roast veg. Since I'm not vegan I did also ask for the Yorkshire pudding, but it was disappointingly dry so you're not missing out on much if you don't get it.

Really good roasts - Edit
Quite a few vegan options, especially on a Sunday, with two roasts as an option. Sadly they don't do a vegan Yorkshire and they had just changed the recipe for the sticky toffee pudding so the sauce wasn't vegan, we still had it but it's not the same without the sauce!

Nice cosy restaurant/bar in Clifton with vegan options including moving mountains burger, banana blossom fish and chips, loaded nachos, ramen and cauliflower wings.

Lovely Sunday roast vegan wellington - Edit
Nice restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and scenery. The vegan wellington on the roast menu is delicious!
