Conveniently located near my workspace, this spot was a great choice for a quick lunch. It’s a small place with just a couple of tables, doubling as a bakery, which adds to its charm. The menu features a few clearly marked vegan options, and the daily special was a vegan tuna toastie made from chickpea mash. It took a little time to arrive, but it was worth the wait—fresh, flavorful, and made even better with melty vegan cheese. The fact that they use their own freshly baked bread was a real bonus—it tasted far superior to what you’d get at most sandwich shops.

Attentive service, every soup of the day was vegan (and the spicy corn was truly spicy!), and creative and delicious baked goods and savory sandwiches

Great range of vegan options. Really friendly staff. Food is made quickly. Great for breakfast and lunch but unfortunately they shut early and aren't open weekends.
Read moreEdit Aug 2023 - open at weekends during August with a more limited Menu. Prices have gone up a lot (in March a roll was £3.50 but now £5.50) not sure if it is permanent or just for August.

Had a really nice vegan chicken and cheese toastie, lentil soup and oat flat white. They have nice vegan Mayo too. Lovely staff!! Little family run business.

Small family-run bakery close to the Grassmarket. Lots of vegan options and the occasional vegan special. Has vegan chicken, square sausage, link sausage, cheese, jackfruit.
