It's on a rooftop, amazing if you want to just chill or have a nice comfy meal. Went in the afternoon to have some starters and they serve super well.

Absolutely outstanding fare from Praña, with an enormous menu that was very nearly all vegan aside from some optional cheese. Portion sizes were perfect, prices were very reasonable and the menu was creative, with everything from vegan lasagnes to burgers with 6 options of patty to vegan wings and ceviches. The sauces were also a highlight, with vegan ranch, salsas and homemade ketchup.
Read moreWe ordered the bruschetta, which had scrambled tofu topped with fresh avocado atop delicious bread, an aubergine lasagne and a 'pulled pork' burger made with black beans and pulled oyster mushrooms.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a front and back terrace, a great selection of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and the staff were fantastic. Cannot recommend enough!

The menu here is huge with lots of options, including both traditional Peruvian food and international food. Although a vegetarian restaurant, most of the food is vegan or can be made vegan (eg by substituting vegan cheese).
Read moreI ordered the rocoto relleno, which came with pastel de papa and vegan (seitan) chicharron. My husband had the vegan lasagne, which was made with soy, rather than just vegetables. The portions were huge and the food was delicious. I would definitely visit again.

Made the mistake of ordering two small portions (read: appetizers) and one main dish for two people and were presented with three huge portions containing 1,5kg of potatoes, 3 enormous tacos (instead of taquitos), and seitan, corn, "meat" sauce. The tacos were great and definitely recommendable, while the other two were good as well but not what we'd order again.

Amazing food. Best I've had in Peru so far. Large portions. Waiter didn't speak English (and I don't speak Spanish) but it was fun trying to discuss our order. Everything came out perfectly in the end and the food was all delicious.
Read moreSome drinks contain ice cream but I confirmed with the staff it is soya ice cream. Some burgers offer "cheddar or vegan cheese" which I assume means they offer dairy cheese but I could be wrong as the waiter said "everything is vegan".

Cool place with lots of seating areas. Menu is HUGE and the lunch menu is a little hard to understand. We tried taquitos with fried chicken (tofu) and the mushroom avocado sandwich. Both meals were enormous and tasted great. Also enjoyed the sangria. Service was a bit lacklustre.

We were a group of five. One of us with a soy allergy. The waitress brought the food with soy mayo. We sent it back. They brought back the same plate with rests of the mayo. We let the waitress know. She did not apologize or anything.

I had the smaller plate of chicken wing plate and I must say that it tasted quite amazing, (probably my best vegan wings so far) although the teriyaki sauce was a bit too heavy and overpowering for me, loved the other sauces though. The salad was very yummy as well.
Read moreThe restaurant is not fully vegan, it serves honey and dairy products like cheese. The service itself was quite slow and some of the waitresses didn’t seem too interested in answering our questions. My partner has a severe peanut allergy and in the end couldn’t even eat one single dish. Communication around this issue was chaotic and the answers kept changing. They were quite helpful, especially in the end, but this can and should be handled much better in the future.

There are no allergens labeled on their menu and when I asked, the answer kept changing about which items and sauces have peanuts. 🫣 before it was just 3 dishes, but the most I asked, the more the list grew. Also now the quinoa, now almost every sauce on every dish….
Read moreWell, I opted to order a hot chocolate with soy milk and a queso ice cream (3milk ice cream). I turned out to have an allergy to one of them and funnily enough, I felt my throat start to close a little with the hot chocolate. They showed me the chocolate package and the ingredients are fine. We concluded the kitchen has high cross contamination. I didn’t pay for any of it thankfully and the staff was really scared and apologetic, but then they preferred not to serve me anything at all and cancelled my meal to be safe. I appreciate that because I was not feeling safe, but they took so long to serve us and we had to flag them down like 7-10 times because they would answer a question and leave or leave to get the answer and not come back and we had several questions 😅 it means we were quite hungry and had to leave sick and hungry. 😢
My partner was able to eat the ice cream, as they liked it, but we both could not drink that hot chocolate. It just doesn’t taste good.
Tips to improve:
✅label the menu!!
✅Get all the questions so you only have to run back for answers once.
✅Train your staff in creating a clean and safe space for cooking meals for people with allergens (clean knife, clean board, etc).

We were initially overwhelmed with the menu, having not seen so many delicious vegan options at the same time for many weeks! We chose a ceviche, which was bursting with flavour. We also chose a fried chicken and chips dish which was salty but satisfying. A must go for vegans and veggies in Arequipa!

We had dinner at Prana twice during our stay in Arequipa and loved it both times. They have a very large selection of dishes including Peruvian and western. I had the KFC twister both times and loved it! My partner had Lomo Saltado and he loved it as well.

I went there hungry and their extensive menu with plant based versions of traditional Peruvian dishes gave me a hard time picking. I opted for the seitan steak with churrasco sauce, crispy bellaco banana, onions, toasted bread, fries and rice. I was deeply satisfied by the smoky, flavour packed taste of the dish. I also strongly recommend the Andean strawberry kombucha, which is of the best fermented drinks I've ever had. The rooftop is a cute and fitting setting to the culinary journey Prana takes you on.

I came here for lunch on a Tuesday in April 2024. They have a meal of the day for either 12 or 15 soles, plus an unlimited option for 22 soles. I got the lunch for 15 soles, and got a drink, dessert, tiny self-serve salad, bowl of soup, and a poke bowl. I thought the food was good although not extraordinary. The menu is very large and a bit complicated... Just take your time and choose the options you want. If you get here just before 1:00 p.m. there will be plenty of tables to choose from, including some outside. The dessert that came with my meal of the day (mazamora de fresa) was quite simple and not very good.
