Good drinks - Edit
Very small but cute place. There are not a lot things on the menu to eat. The falafel was nice. The drinks are good. He is working alone so it takes a while before everything is ready.

Has shrimp plate, out of curry - Edit
Visited today. Out of veggie curry at 4pm. Had a shrimp and mushroom curry, not vegetarian anymore. Specified vegan when ordering. Incense smell noticeable if that is bothersome to you. Plus one for telling me the ice cream float was real dairy when I tried ordering (forgot it was pescatarian here). Falafel plate and pita were delicious. Three beer options, one from California!

Sorry for the late reply. Sorry the veggie curry is sold out. We are handmade, so when we have a lot of other customers coming in, we are sold out. And no, we are not a vegan/vegetarian specialty cafe. We recommend the falafel plate, falafel pita, handmade ginger ale, mango juice and lychee juice. (Those are regular menu items for vegans/vegetarians).

A little out of the way of the tourist attractions in Nara, but a nice and chill place to get dinner/drinks. The owner is pretty chill and friendly, and asked me if I was vegan or vegetarian to make sure dairy was okay. I had the falafel plate, and my husband had the veggie curry and we were both happy.

Lovely food and record shop - Edit
I visited this bar / restaurant in Nara last month, and loved it. It is small and cosy, and has a really nice atmosphere - the owners and other customers were super friendly. The record-store part of the bar is cool, and the owner played me some Joy Division when I said I was from Manchester!

I would definitely recommend this place as an interesting and unusual place to eat and relax.

Make sure to get there before 10.30 if you want food - Edit
If you are going for food be warned that the kitchen closes at 10.30, we missed it by a bit unfortunately and decided not to stay for drinks either in the end..
