Good vegan options but needs to improve service

We had an early dinner at the new restaurant Plate Tapas Grill & Lounge. They have several marked vegan options. The food was all quite good with the exception of the dip for the spring rolls being quite flavorless and watery. I really liked my grilled tofu and veggies (portabello mushrooms, zucchini, squash, red/green peppers, and onions) entree. We didn't make reservations so they only gave us options to sit at the bar which was full or outside even though the place was a third empty at 6pm. It was hot on the patio. We recommend they get some fans. Other customers said the same. Inside had a much nicer ambiance. The service wasn't great. Very nice waitress but after we ordered our dishes they were delivered by food runners at different times (as expected since it's mostly tapas) but we never saw our waitress again until we were almost finished when she then dropped off sharing plates and chopsticks...lol. We had already snagged soy sauce off another table. My husband was not pleased that his beer in a pint glass was about 1.5 inches below full. That's a major sin if you know my husband! He never got a chance to say anything or order a second during the meal. The manager popped by as we were paying the bill to check in and we gave him feedback. He apologized and offered a free beer but we were leaving. It's only their fourth week open so I'd give them some grace as they work out their kinks. Overall the food was good, lots of marked vegan options (including healthy options). I'd make reservations and sit inside next time. It's a good option if you are with omnis and/or want a sit down place with drinks. And the prices were reasonable. Check it out!
