Amazing. So delicious. - Edit
I got the kamut and mushroom “steak” lettuce wraps. I loved every bite. So tasty. So many other options I want to try too. Ordering is hard! Always busy, always packed, friendly staff.

Definitely get their 1000 layer potatoes, it was the favorite for both my girlfriend and I. The bang bang broccoli was great too

Amazing Noods at PQ - Edit
Had the Dan Dan Noodles (w/ Tofu and Avocado) and it was an incredible combination. Rich sauce, super complex and satiating. Very flavorful with chewy kamut noodles. The General D's Cauli was spectacular as well (pic doesn't do it justice) but was nice to dip those cauli heads into the Dan Dan sauce and eat. Very nice ambience inside. Friendly and professional staff. Really fantastic. Would love to try more from PQ. Definitely visiting again next time in NYC

Vegan Asian Cuisine in NoMad - Edit
This restaurant is beautifully designed, and the atmosphere was buzzing on a Sunday lunchtime. I was given three menus, the main menu with specials, a brunch menu and a drinks menu, and all the options sounded delicious - it was hard to decide.
Read moreI ordered summer rolls to start which were refreshing and served with two perfect spicy sauces. My main course was ‘drunken chicken’ a saucy stir fry with delicious vegetables and mushrooms with really delicious plant-based chicken.
The service was exceptional, three different helpful servers looked after me during lunch.
I would love to work my way through this menu, and come back for Maki Mondays!

Great vegan place! - Edit
Great atmosphere and lots of yummy choices to choose from! We got sushi, udon noodles, edamame dumplings, and a chick’n cutlet. Everything tasted great and came out in good time. And it was my birthday dinner and they surprised me with a tiny vegan cake😄

Excellent ! - Edit
We had different starters to share. Portions are good size, ingredients are fresh and combination of them is creative. Really good dinner ! We recommend the crispy rice, firecracker sushi roll and crispy gyoza. Desserts are good but you may want to share. Service is fast and efficient. They also have a few mocktails. We will definitely come back for the sushi and to test the noodles

Delicious surprise - Edit
Absolutely loved all the dishes!! Staff is super friendly and if you love healthy food you are at the right spot at planta! I had kelp green papaya pad Thai, mostly raw and extremely delicious! The eggplant onigir was a winner too!! Very extravagant taste and you can tell it’s good quality:)

Creo que es el mejor vegano en el que he comido, comparable quizás a wild food en Granada o a los menús especiales de los viernes de estación quimera en Málaga.

Asian Vegan Food - Edit
Food was great but the service was extremely slow… especially with more employees there than customers. As long as you’re not in a rush and don’t mind waiting, the delicious food does make up for it a bit. But they definitely could work on taking your order or acknowledging you sooner.

Service was good, food could be improved
Read moreWe had the fried rice with ‘truffles’ but there was barely any truffles
The rest of the food was ok, but we mentioned we couldn’t deal with spicy and they didn’t let us know that the Singaporean noodles and the lentils was actually quite spicy

They have no clue how reservations work. - Edit
we had a reservation for 8pm, they decided to push it to 9 without even communicating that till we asked. then at 9 they were telling us their would be at minimum a 30 minute wait still. we ended up leaving because it took so long. awful service

Best Vegan Brunch - Edit
We just sat at the bar for Valentine’s Day brunch at Planta Queen. The kimchi bao starter is maybe the best appetizer I’ve had in my life. I had the French toast main, and it was also excellent. Indulgent but not overly sweet. The bartender made incredible cocktails and mocktails, and took great care of us. Highly recommend!

2025-08-16: ORIGINAL POST
Read moreLove PLANTA Queen! Have tried a few different locations (including the one in Williamsburg that closed and the awesome one in Toronto) but this main location is still my favorite. Great ambience! Somewhat slow service but friendly staff.
Been here many times. Some of our go-to dishes are:
- Torched & Pressed maki roll [highly recommend]
- Firecracker roll
- Dragon roll
- Unagi Eggplant Nigiri [highly recommend!]
- Crispy Rice [highly recommend!]
- Bang Bang Broccoli [highly recommend!]
- Thai Lettuce wraps: surprisingly very good, healthy, and tasty
Other dishes we’ve tried that were solid dishes but weren’t our favorite:
- Singapore Noodles: very good but beware if you’re not a fan of cilantro
- Udon Noodles: quite rich in flavor but can feel heavy
- Truffle Fried Rice
- Beef & Broccoli: takes very fake meat-y
- Wafu Crunch Salad
Previously went for a larger family gathering for a weekday lunch. Restaurant staff were able to accommodate a young infant and provide a high chair.
2025-10-15: UPDATE
I went back to Planta Queen and was seated in the downstairs dining room for the first time. Cool ambience but had no AC and was quite humid, which meant I was lightly sweating throughout my meal.
I also tried more more dish:
- Poke bowl: Definitely the best poke bowl I’ve ever had (since those are rarely ever vegan-friendly) but certainly not my favorite Planta Queen dish
2026-01-30 UPDATE:
Came here as a walk-in for brunch on a frigid Saturday afternoon. Was eager to try their brunch menu but was, surprisingly, disappointed. The regular menu is MUCH better!
- French Toast: lukewarm temperature, overall sweetness but not memorable flavor
- Breakfast Bowl: too salty, inedibly spicy sauce
PLANTA Queen has always been 5 ⭐️ consistently except for today’s brunch! Now, reducing to 4 ⭐️.

Good ambiance, inconsistent food quality - Edit
We ordered summer rolls, kimchi baos, steamed edamame dumplings, chick’n fried mushrooms, dan dan noodles, matcha cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. Some were tasty but dumplings and baos were mediocre. Dan Dan noodle was overcooked to me. I liked the ambiance and the happy hour menu, which allowed us to try many snack items.

Food quality wasn't consistent - Edit
Heard amazing things about Planta over the years and finally got to try it.
Read moreAbsolutely loved all of the maki rolls, the red dragon was my favorite.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the dan dan noodles. They were incredibly bland and lacked seasoning, not sure if it was just an off day for them. There was faint heat from the szechuan peppercorns and the sauce itself just tasted like plain coconut milk.
Korean chick'n sandwich was alright, didn't get any Korean flavors besides a faint gochujang taste in the aioli for the fries.
Dessert was delicious. I would go back just for the matcha cheesecake (and red dragon roll). Loved the texture of the banana pudding cake and the caramel was great.
Our bill totaled over $200 and we left still feeling like we could eat (something to think of).
Service was slow, but again could have been an off night. They calculate their tip on the total price including tax which I disagree with.
Cons: Pricey, Expect tips based on tax total

Good Food, Bad Service - Edit
Had a 5:30pm reservation on a Tuesday. Arrived at 5:23 and there were only a few people inside already. Hostess sat us at the tables in the front across from the bar. Everyone else who came in continued to be seated in the back so not sure why we were up there but we were fine with the spot. About 15 minutes later we noticed no one had come over to us yet. Waited a few more minutes and my sister kindly asked one of the guys at the bar if someone was coming to take care of our table. He said he would find out. Another 5 minutes go by and nothing. I went up to the hostess and kindly asked if there was a server for the front section because we had been here for 25 now and no one had come over to us once. She said “there’s only one waitress”. I totally understand and we are never the type to complain or anything but 25 minutes is crazy and we watched groups of people who came after us get served. She notified the waitress who came over and told us she was so sorry for the wait she didn’t know no one came over to us. She was very nice and said she would tell them to expedite it. We just didn’t want to wait another half hour because we clearly had been forgotten about. We ordered the volcano roll and the Japanese steak. Food came quickly and it was very good.

Decent, but Not Memorable - Edit
We visited this place and it was good, but nothing extraordinary. I feel like it’s more about the experience than the food itself. Overall, it was fine but not particularly memorable

Review: Planta Queen
Read moreThe food at Planta Queen was tasty and well presented. The Hawaiian Crunch Maki had a nice mix of flavors, but was a bit too sweet for me. The General D’s Cauliflower was flavorful, though also a little on the sweet and salty side.
Overall, both dishes were really good—just slightly heavy on the sweet and salty for my taste . Still a great place for creative vegan food.
