Amazing - Edit
Took awhile for us to get seated but they were nice enough to give us a free appetizer. All the food was amazing - the appetizers are definitely the star of the show. And the matcha cheesecake is to die for.

Super good every time - Edit
Planta queen continues to wow. I'd only been to their Toronto location before. NYC has a similar menu. The food and drinks are excellent. I wish I had one of these restaurants closer to where I live

Consistently delicious food and great staff - Edit
Planta Queen is one of the most consistent vegan restaurants in NYC. Everything I've had here so far has been tasty and the portions aren't skimpy, which is much appreciated. On this visit, a friend and I ordered the tofu 'salmon', Japanese steak, crispy 1000 layered potatoes, baby gem green goddess salad, carrot cake and banana pudding. All delicious and the Japanese steak was the best preparation of the Chunk Steak I've had so far from different restaurants.
Read moreWe were sat in the dining space below the main floor. It has a different feel but nicely done too. As always, the staff were friendly and professional. My only criticism is that the music is always too loud. This makes diners raise their voices to be heard which creates a cacophonous atmosphere. A quieter vibe would make for a much more pleasant experience.
Planta Queen is one place I feel confident recommending to anyone. If you're someone who's hesitant about trying plant-based food or knows someone who is, Planta is the place to dispel any fears of bland, unsatisfying food. Come and enjoy!
Pros: Delicious food, Good value , Friendly staff
Cons: Music too loud

Never a bad choice - Edit
This is the 2nd Planta I’ve been to, and it seemed pretty much the same. Maybe the only difference for this one is that the vibe in this location is excellent.
Read moreFor the flavor/price ratio it didn’t blow me away, but my non-vegan friends liked it. Definitely best experienced with a group so you can try a lot of dishes.

The spicy tuna roll was so good. Also the beef and broccoli, I would've never suspected mushrooms (as a mushroom hater). Drinks were very yummy too!

Late Night Bite - Edit
Grateful to have this option late on a Sunday night. First time visiting any of their locations and it was perfect for sharing a few starters and a cocktail. The crispy rice is delicious. I look forward to sampling the other dishes in the future.

Upscale fine vegan dining - Edit
The food here was exceptional. This was upscale vegan dining at its finest! So many plates to choose from. I especially loved the crab Rangoon dip, the volcano roll and spicy tuna hand roll. This is definitely a special occasion location. I was a bit annoyed to have to wait 30 minutes past my reservation to get seated, and the portions could’ve been a little bigger but overall so amazing.

Cons: Took very long to get seated even with reservation, A little disorganized waiting to be seated , Portions could be slightly bigger

Delicious Vegan Sushi - Edit
I came for Planta’s Monday evening sushi all you can eat and discount deal. I had a “crab” Rangoon, a variety of sushi and the big cookie. The “crab” Rangoon was good however the addition of a vegan cheese would provide extra flavour, a variety sushi which were all delicious and the big cookie. I was not a fan of the cookie as it was quite dry and lacking of flavour. Unfortunately there were problems using a coupon that the restaurant had promoted which took some time to resolve and their app (on which the coupon was present) was glitching throughout the evening. #Veganuary

Get the Japanese Steak - Edit
Always love Planta’s food. They don’t write it on the menu, but they use Chunk meat for their steak and the flavors are like no other—the sesame, bok choy, onion, furikake, its just awesome!

One of the Best Vegan Restaurants in the City - Edit
The three of us shared the Baked Crab Roll, Queen Caesar, Bang Bang Broccoli, 1000 Layer Crispy Potatoes, Udon Noodles, and Singapore Noodles. For dessert we shared the Pumpkin Cheese Cake. All were delicious, perfectly prepared and presented. Efficient and friendly staff. Lovely ambiance. Very popular too.

Seriously! - Edit
This is the pinocle of vegan cuisine. The absolute crème de la crème. If this was everyone’s experience of vegan food the whole world would go vegan. The menu is huge and varied, the dishes are fresh and meticulously appointed and the servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely unbeatable. I would eat here every day if I could!

My new favourite NYC restaurant - Edit
This is honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Highlights were the thousand layer potatoes (exactly how I remember caviar and sour cream tasting), the ahi crispy rice and the sesame cold noodles. Worth every cent!

One of the best meals I have had in my life. I got the crispy fried rice, the truffle avocado sushi, a spicy tuna roll, and the layered potatoes. All I can say is WOW it all blew me away. The potatoes and truffle avocado sushi were especially to die for. The cocktails were also wonderful and it was a great vibe! It was definitely busy and you should make a reservation.

Nice place for dinner! - Edit
The food is nice, but maybe a bit on the unhealthier side (very few options with protein). The interior is quite dark so I liked using the patio during daytime.

Always a BANG (BANG) - Edit
TL;DR— LOVE ALL THEIR DISHES.
Read moreI’ve come to Planta Queen a few times— most recently for Maki Monday where you either choose $9 Maki rolls or $29 endless Maki rolls. It’s a great deal considering one Maki roll at Planta Queen can be $16 on an average Tuesday night.
I really love their vegan sushi— and I’m not new to the vegan sushi game. I’ve gone straight to the source: Beyond Sushi too and I’m a huge Guy fan. (One of his many NYC restaurants). I love their baked crab roll in particular, it takes two bites and it just is delicious. It’s made with hearts of palm and between the texture and flavor, the crab is spot on. Their bao buns never disappoint. Bang bang broccoli is a must. Their spicy tuna is just SO great too. You can’t go wrong.
Pros: Maki Monday rolls, Bao, Green tea

Will be back!!! - Edit
I visited this restaurant with my non-vegan friend for a girls' brunch, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. Every dish we ordered was meant for sharing, beautifully presented, and incredibly delicious. Among the many dishes we tried, my personal favorites were the spicy tuna roll and the avocado tartare - both were outstanding.
