Below average - Edit
As most places in the area, just way too overpriced for what they offer.
Read more5 GBP for a stale pain au chocolate with barely any chocolate in it is insanity. Cappuccino was good tho.
Update: went a second time to try a sandwich. As bland and tasteless as it gets.
Absolutely not worth going there unfortunately, especially when you nowadays can get a vegan full English breakfast at almost EVERY place in the city.

Excellent vegan breakfast - Edit
Came here for breakfast as they open at 8. They had a few different toast and porridge options. I had a warm acai porridge and oat latte, which came to £14 and was absolutely delicious.

Bad food - Edit
Hate being critical of vegan places, but the açai bowl was terrible, and the wrap mediocre. As others have said the vibe is lovely but the food just wasn’t very good (still the case on second visit Jan 2026 sadly).

It's okay to be critical here where vegans look for the best places among other vegan options. Just smash those five stars on Google Maps etc. where the Muggles are looking.

sandwich & salad - Edit
Caesar salad and BLT. Was fine and seemed fresh, but overall not super filling or special. 3.5 stars.

Range of healthy options - Edit
Range of healthy options, including with 'superfood' ingredients etc. Slightly pricey but totally worth it for the cute and welcoming vibe/atmosphere inside. Perfect as a working cafe!

Delicious, Fast, Healthy - Edit
They have really tasty smoothies (I got the plantshacker) and their toast has nice fresh berries on it. Also, they’ve got croissant-style pastries from Okja which are incredible as always.

This place should be rated higher! - Edit
Ordered the plantshacker smoothie, California rainbow toast, and a cappuccino. Smoothie was healthy while also having great taste and texture. Toast was exactly what you’d expect, but also good quality. Would definitely come back!

Nice new place - Edit
The vibe is really nice - cute interiors and good music, the staff were suuuuper friendly but my wrap (which they kindly wrap-ified instead of being a sandwich) was pretty average, a 5 or 6/10. They had some pastries in the counter and loads of smoothies on the menu, I’ll def go back to try those

Delicious - Edit
I had the Jackfruit Sandwich, an Oat Latte & a Croissant. They were quick and delicious and the cafe had a soothing atmosphere - I believe they are a franchise of a Spanish chain and it definitely had the ‘Honest Greens’ vibe which I loved. Bonus points for being open early so I could go before work!

Plant Shack - Edit
I had the plain croissant and the outside texture was a little off. Instead of being flaky/crispy on the outside, it sort of seemed stale. I would try this place again, as the rainbow bowl looks amazing! I just wasn’t hungry enough for a meal during my visit. I’ll update my review after my next visit. It’s definitely a really nice location and dining atmosphere.

Potential with a bit of room for improvement - Edit
It was quite spacious on the "Main level", and there was even more space below.
Read moreWe ordered some sandwiches that were pre-made and stored in the fridge. It did say so on the menu, so that was on us. They did warm them up for us, but it took quite a long time (though, now that I think about it, only my sandwich was from the fridge and my mate's toast was probably freshly-made and that's what took so long. They gave us both of our meals at the same time).
Drinks were also served in plastic-cups, even though we were dining in. Not very sustainable, but easy to improve.
Food still tasted good, but the plastic for the drinks as well as the packaging for the food while it was in the fridge does rub me the wrong way. Yeah, it makes sense for to-go, but for a space with so much, well, space, it feels odd for the food itself to be focused on getting ready for take-out.
Shall I ever come back here, I should probably just try something that did not say "find me in the fridge."
Pros: Nice variety, Spacious
Cons: Plastic, Some pre-made food rather than fresh

Opposite Of What's Needed - Edit
£8.80 for a truly awful BLT...I was speechless until I saw that their 'loyalty' programme entails paying £100 to get, wait for it, £5 off - what a deal!!!
Read moreI am so worried about places like this being all we get in the way of new openings now, places that entrench the idea that veganism is about bad tasting food, at exorbitant prices, in hipstery locations with impenetrable decor - instead of about meeting people where they're at to make them decently priced food that tastes like what they're used to - only it's cruelty free.
It really feels like the movement is going backwards and places like this just do not help at all. Even the bread the BLT was on was dire, like Warburton's doing a bad impression of a sourdough. The pistachio pastry was nice but it's £5.50 - it would need to be. Just a very disappointing and expensive experience.

Fabulous friendly new cafe - Edit
A great place to chill at lunchtime. Delicious fresh food. Choose from the fridge or order from the menu. I enjoyed a toasted sandwich, Bakewell flapjack, matcha and smoothie. Such a lovely place to chill. A member of staff was handing out free wheatgrass shots too. I’ll be back!
