Is it really Junk food? - Edit
Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

The food was absolutely delicious, we had the Mac n Cheese, tacos and Fungees pizza and it was some of the best food we had in Lisbon. Staff were super friendly and lovely to deal with, would recommend highly!

I visited Plant Base with an omnivore and we both agreed that it served the tastiest vegan pizza ever. I had a marinara while he went for fungees (roasted mushroom, lemon zest, hazelnut). Bonus points also for the delicious brownie with raspberry coulie for dessert and the friendly staff😄

Definitely suggest this place. Staff is so kind, the food is good and junky. I wasn't that hungry so I only took some nachos to share. They were amazing! The cocktails are also great, especially the Caipirinha!

Plant base has some really good vegan junk food options. I ended up trying their burger pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. However I believe the prices are a bit high. For the same price I bought a pizza at this restaurant I could also buy a pizza in Luxembourg which is a much pricier area.

A pizza era boa, mas um pouco enjoativa! A massa é top top! A nível de recheio, necessitava de algo que quebrasse aqui o doce, algum molho ou mesmo colocar o molho de tomate típico de pizza! Secalhar se tivesse escolhido outra com base de tomate, fosse gostar mais!
Tenho curiosidade de voltar! Existe muito para provar, para a próxima não me escapam os momos

Everything was fresh and delicious. It is a street food style cuisine and it was great to discover there fish and chips (a rare case!), momos, pizzas and taco cacti on the same menu. And there, this variety is a plus! We went there a few times during our stay in lisbon and tried varied things: great tacos, yummy fish and chips, super crunchy loaded nachos, and the best marinara I have tried! Also, friendly stuff

Insgesamt einfach ein super Restaurant! 🥰👍🏻 Wir haben insgesamt 4x dort gegessen, weil es sooo lecker war. Vor allem die Pizza mit den vielfältigen Belägen ist ein Traum! Unser Favorit ist die mit Kartoffeln. Die Mitarbeiter*innen sind super nett. Die Preise sind auch top. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, leider keine Plätze im Freien möglich.

We went as soon as they were open as we're we very hungry! Glad we did as the tables filled up pretty quickly. We visited back in March and I think I had the 'prego' it was too long ago I just know I loved it!
