Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

I don’t understand any 5* reviews here. We had Mac and cheese, a pizza and a burger. The staff was partly unfriendly and the dishes nothing special at all. The Mac and cheese was good though. The price was too high for a medium experience. Wouldn’t recommend for the price and atmosphere.

All genuinely the best vegan food we’ve had. The Seitan nachos are marked as spicy but aren’t particularly. Nachos were nice, nothing to write home about but still very nice. My fiance had the pizza and she said it was the best vegan pizza she’s had, including Purezza in London.

Ate here with a couple of non vegans who rated this one of the best meals they’ve ever had. They make an excellent beyond burger seasoned perfectly and with the best toppings - recommend to include caramelized onions. Their pizza was also excellent. Highly recommend trying and I will definitely be trying to come back!

J’ai mangé un burger avec un tortilla qui remplace le pain pour une version sans gluten. C’était bon et ça vient avec des frites. Il y a des bonnes options végétariennes mais ils ne sont pas très flexibles pour des modifications si intolérance. De plus, le service était long et le serveur ne venait pas nous voir souvent.

Food was so good my boyfriend and I went back again the next day. Pizzas are delicious and among the best vegan pizzas I have ever had! The cheese is so creamy and melts fantastically you can barely tell it’s vegan.
