Fully vegan and gluten-free takeaway pizza shop serving vegan pizza with various sauce and topping combinations. Also has faina, and canastitas. Open Tue-Sun 7:00pm-11:30pm.
Closed Mon.
I was with my friend who is gluten-free, and I was craving a pizza, so Pizza Vegana came to our rescue with a quick and easy meal option. I was admittedly a little apprehensive given some of the reviews, but I am glad I tried it. Is it the pizza you are used too? No, the dough is made from rice flour. It does not have the texture of a traditional pizza crust. Is it still good? I truly thought so! They have a wider variety of flavors than I usually see at pizzerias here, so I had to get the pizza where you pick four. We got the super mario, the bolognese, the caramelized onions, and the napolitana. En efectivo it came out to under 19.000 pesos, which is not bad these days. I thought the pizza was really flavorful, and I liked the crust. It reminded me a bit of faina texture-wise. I think, if you order from here with your expectations straight, you will really like what you get. If you are hoping for a vegan and gluten-free version of what you can get from any local pizza joint, it's probably not going to be your cup of tea. All-in-all, I am glad I ignored the naysayers, and I would definitely order from here again even without my gluten-free friend. :)
