Great little vegan cafe - Edit
Had a fantastic Monday lunch whilst visiting Llandudno. We shared the seitan tacos and hot (not)wings, which were great, but the cakes were even better! We particularly enjoyed the rocky road. Coffee was fantastic too.

Nice food friendly service - Edit
Nice tasty simple meals with friendly and efficient service but the place is a little stark and lacks ambience - could do with some more homely touches.

Lovely vegan cafe, and lovely staff - Edit
It’s such a shame to see a negative comment the same day that we visited! The staff were absolutely lovely, despite the being busy (it’s lovely to see a vegan establishment thriving!)
Read moreWe actually visited twice today, firstly for coffee and a custard slice: both absolutely excellent, and gets my approvable (I’m a self professed coffee snob).
Our second visit was for lunch where I had todays special, the kebab and my partner had the breakfast wrap, both delicious, we took them to take away on the beach!
People should really think about how their negative comments will affect small independent businesses, when it’s something that could have been bought up privately with the staff themselves, who were very busy and probably stressed! Such a lovely place and will visit again in a heartbeat!
Pros: Lovely staff, Great food selection, Good coffee

Rude staff - Edit
I had just travelled up from London to Llandudno after a long journey. I was delighted to see a plant based restaurant in town. When my daughter and I went to the counter to order a take away cake, both members of staff completely ignored us for at least 5 minutes, even though we were clearly waiting to be served
Read moreI appreciate that they may have been busy, but acknowledging our presence and apologies for the wait would have been nice. When we were served by the older member of staff she was pleasant, but the younger member of staff, I presume the boss was very rude. She plonked the cakes on the table, said "there you go" no apologies for the wait and no hello, thanks or goodbye! Definitely won't be going back to that particular cafe again, and after all that the overpriced cake was hard and tasteless! Very disappointed and not the welcome into a cafe you'd expect for any customers!
Cons: Rude staff, , Hard cake, Overpriced! 2 thin slices of cake 8 pounds!!

so sorry that your visit to us was disappointing, you visited us on one of our busiest days ever, over the easter holidays and on a bank holiday weekend, we didn't ignore you, we were serving customers that had been there before you, we are not a fast food establishment, we serve people in order regardless of it being a takeaway or not, i always make a point of saying hello, goodbye and thankyou to all my customers, if you had a problem with the cake you should of brought it back and i would of been more than happy to exchange it for you, we charge £3.50- £3.95 for all our cakes which are made either in house or by local

Delicious food, lovely service, decent prices - Edit
Was so happy to find a vegan delight in Llandudno! The food was fresh, lovely and beautifully presented. Plenty of options, including gluten free for those need that too. Staff were gorgeous and fun!
Read moreI was super excited to be faced with the dilemma of what to have for lunch with so many yummy options on the table, then to be presented with the same challenge of choice with their delightful desserts. We went for the custard slice (not had one of them for over 9years, since turning vegan!) and then a really succulent carrot cake, mmmm nom nom nom.
Pros: Food was delicious , Staff were gorgeous , Prices were reasonable
Cons: None

Lovely, friendly, fully vegan cafe - Edit
Lovely little vegan restaurant, delicious food, friendly staff, well situated just off Mostyn Street in centre of Llandudno. Reasonably priced. Loved the ‘egg’ tofu sandwich and varied selection of tasty cakes. Make a special effort to come here when in Llandudno.

What a little gem! The food is DELICIOUS every time. From sandwiches to their specials, I've probably tried it all and it's spot on every time. Also... They have vegan dippy egg! 🤤 Worth travelling to just for that.

Disappointed - Edit
We really wanted Pip and Oat to be a good vegan cafe in North Wales.
Read moreUnfortunately, we have been there twice when they first opened and didn't like the food; we tried them again when they changed the menu to try and give them the benefit of the doubt. The food doesn't seem to have gotten any better — the food we have had has been mostly frozen and heated up in a air fryer; the presentation is very basic; the main sauce on the spicy chicken wings was Sriracha, which wasn't particularly pleasant, and the cakes are very hit or miss(sometimes they're dry or too sweet or dense).
While they seem to be very beloved in the local vegan community, we think their food could be so much better and North Wales deserves a higher standard of what a vegan cafe could be.

I am shocked that you would criticise the presentation of the food at the cafe. Even looking at your pictures it is clear that there is a lot of effort made on the presentation!

Tasty... But needs less bread - Edit
Their cakes are delicious & their meals aren't bad, meals are healthier than most, tasty snack sorta meals, I just wish they served some healthier options that didn't include bread.
Read moreGreat for the average Joe I suppose. But i am fixated on plant based vegan health.
Their smoothies are tasty. I'm surprised that they sell coca cola though. Surely there are more ethical brands of cola drinks.
Pros: Smoothies, Cakes, Vegan
Cons: Coca Cola, Bread, Onions
Pip&Oat
thanks for your feedback and glad you enjoyed the cakes, slightly confused by your bread comment as our current menu offers lots of options without bread such as coconut & spinach dhal, noodle bowl and spicy wings, we do offer sandwiches as we are a cafe and most people do like to have a sandwich or wrap at lunchtime, we can always give you an option without bread like a salad, all you need to do is ask 😊🩵

Welcome menu change - Edit
Feb 2025
Read moreThere's been another menu change, see photos. Still a lovely vegan oasis in the heart of Llandudno.
September 2024
The menu has changed to include spinach wraps, bagels & a mezze plate. Making a pleasant change.
As usual there is a good choice of cakes. We tried the poppy & lemon this time.
On this visit the cafe was the busiest I've seen it on a Sunday. Hopefully business continues to grow for the owners. As the only 100% vegan cafe in Llandudno it's important they keep going for all us vegans.

Totally plant based - Edit
The main positive of this spot is that it's totally plant based. I don't feel I got the full experience as it was quiet and I was the only person in there. Felt a bit lacking in atmosphere for that reason. May try again at a busier time.

Brilliant vegan dog friendly cafe - Edit
Pip and Oat is a very friendly plant based cafe in the centre of Llandudno where we found parking right outside. The decor is bright, fresh and modern with very comfortable seats & some great songs played quietly added lots to the ambiance as did it being dog friendly.
Read moreThere were many delicious cakes on offer and a small menu of tempting, well cooked & presented dishes suitable for breakfast, brunch, lunch or snacks. We were spoilt for choice!
Finally we settled on their “All Day Breakfast” which was brilliant especially the dippy “fried egg”
We also had a pot of Tea Pigs tea with soya milk, turmeric lattes, a cinnamon roll bun and an apple and oat cookie.
The whole experience was excellent & we highly recommend you give it a try
