Def veggie friendly, so-so vegan friendly - Edit
A CLT institution & rightly so. The food is excellent casual comfort, and the menu caters well to vegetarians.

The Beyond burger is vegan as is, but the house blackbean patty is not. Neither are the fried pickles. They offer a vegan version of pimento cheese, and it’s a delicious topping on most anything. But the coleslaw is made with traditional mayo (so remove it from the veggie dog). The veggie chili is delicious, but be sure to say no cheese. And the friers are not vegan separated — the fries & chips are fried in the same place as the chicken & shrimp.
The bar makes excellent drinks, the prices are very reasonable for the generous portions. And I could bathe in the Garlic Parsley sauce!
Pros: Consistent quality, Prompt service, Reasonable prices
Cons: Menu isn’t as clear as could be re: vegan

Plenty of vegan options. Some stand alone dishes and others can be easily modified. They carry the beyond meat burger and have created a fauxmento cheese. Perfect greasy bad for you goodness. They do have shared fryers for their fries, FYI.

I had the vegan falafel wrap and I really wasn’t impressed. It just wasn’t anything special and I probably won’t return. Wasn’t bad - just wasn’t very good. I’m not picky and I’ve liked almost every other falafel wrap I’ve tried at other restaurants.

I like the feel of this place, but unfortunately the food doesn't impress. I was excited to try the acclaimed vegan pimento cheese waffle fries. Sadly they were bland. Was expecting a sharp pimento cheese flavor, but it seems theirs is simply just two types/colors of melted cheese and baked waffle fries.

It's mentionable that after my GF and I were seated we were approached by a staff member who notified us they didn't allow outside drinks. Stunned as the drink my GF was holding was obviously a small, half drunk iced coffee in a clear container, we obliged and put the coffee back in our car. But the whole thing felt weird and rude. While establishments are welcome to create policies and protect themselves, this one feels draconian. An iced coffee? To our knowledge they don't even offer iced coffee on their menu. And we still spent over $40 in food. I don't blame the staff, but boo to Pinky for being lame. Doesn't improve an already unimpressive food experience. Two stars.

This is a great place if you’re dining with non-vegans. The menu has vegan options listed. Top choices are beyond burger, waffle fries with vegan pimento cheese, veggie chili, nature boy. Plenty of solid options. $2.50 drafts on Thursday. Good patio space as well.
