Great cafe - Edit
Such a great cafe! Coffee, matcha and soft drinks during the day, and a wide range of vegan beers and ciders at night. Also has bao buns and dumplings (all vegan) and vegan cookies/baked goods. Slowly working my way through all of the cookies (the chocolate miso one is incredible)

Best dumplings in brighton - Edit
Best dumplings I've ever had and the sauces are incredible. The green Thai dumplings especially. I can't eat itsu anymore after this. The white chocolate sea salt cookienis also epic

We only dropped in for some hot drinks (also they were out of most of the sweets anyway, but to be fair it was New Years Eve). Nice young,vivid,alternative place, dogs are allowed to get in. The matcha latte and coffee was very good, you can order it with oat,soy,coconut or... dairy milk! So we were very confused about that. Menue says in their kitchen they only use vegan ingredients but at the bar also cow milk with the drinks obviously. But still things like that always give us a feeling of doubt and mistrust about the rest they offer. Maybe it would be better and not kind of sobering ones expectations when it wasn't marked as a fully vegan place on Happy Cow..

They serve cow breast milk because of money reasons. Very poor to pretend that they are vegan. At least be honest and say „99% plant based cafe with dairy“.

Extensive vegan menu but not 100% vegan - Edit
I popped in here as I was after some tea and cake this weekend and while they have a huge vegan selection of dim sum and bakery goods, I was really surprised to be asked if I wanted dairy milk at the counter as they are listed as 100% vegan on here and claim they have no dairy or egg products in their kitchen on the menu in their window. While I was sitting with my tea I also heard multiple other people coming up to the counter and asking for hot drinks and each time they were only asked if they wanted dairy/cow’s milk and no vegan options were even mentioned! It’s a great vegetarian cafe and I really enjoyed the food and drink that I got there but it’s misleading of them to advertise as vegan or plant based when they proactively sell cow’s milk.
