Gross and unfriendly - Edit
Flies everywhere on the food they serve, nobody cares. The lady was very rude cause we are foreigners and don’t understand much Vietnamese (we try)
Read moreFood ok but again concerned about safety and also very greasy. We asked for any drink and she just shook her head angrily
Pros: Mock meats are interesting
Cons: Hygiene , Staff, Greasy food

delicious and cheap local vietnamese fare - Edit
tried the bánh giò and soup (not sure exactly which). both really nice and filling. flavours of both dishes very well balanced, makes me wish i had tried banh gio way sooner… would recommend for someone looking to go to a no-frills eatery. there’s the option of ordering through their menu (in vietnamese only, so take your chance or download google translate) or whatever’s in the buffet area (includes different veggies like pumpkin, bitter melon, etc). quick service too.

Great Cheap Local Vegan Place - Edit
Tried the Pho and Spring Rolls. Both were delicious. One of the local foreigners helped me out since the English speaking staff was not available and the menu is in Vietnamese.
Read moreTruly felt like I was in Vietnam for the first time. Very local setting and pricing is dirt cheap. (Right opp the school in case you can’t find it.)
Friendly reminder - was your utensils before you eat. A local’s advise to me being passed down to you readers.

Flavourful and delicious - Edit
There’s option to order from menu or get buffet style selection. Everything is very affordable. I ordered bún cá (nuóc) from the menu. Very flavourful and well balanced broth. The dish was big and filling. I would definitely come back to try more dishes.

Cheap local cuisine - Edit
The food was 25k per Plate. Restaurant offers a variety of 20 vegetables, tofu and mock meat. Everything I tasted was delicious. After choosing your vegetables/mock meat Rice is added to your plate. Additionally a bamboo/mint soup was served for free.

Cheap Set Menu with Large Local Following - Edit
I walked into the locally-crowded restaurant asking for a table and was immediately handed a plate of food, so I believe there’s just a set-premade plate. However, it was super delicious, flavorful, and nutritious and would love to come back

Yummy food, but not nice staff. - Edit
I got there at 7:30pm (30mins before close) and they weren't very pleasant to me. I asked for a menu and she said no and pointed to the buffet. I asked for the price and she showed me 26k VND, so I thought it was a plate for 26k. So I filled up my plate with different things and she charged me over 100k. She was really rude to me and I was really flustered (and suffer with anxiety) so just paid.
Read moreThe food was luckily really tasty and they gave me some soup and extra sauce too.
The food was good but I wouldnt go back there again because of the staff. It was my first buffet places in Vietnam, so didn't understand it was per thing. Though the first thing she put on my plate was two little bits of tofu, so I felt quite scammed. She didn't speak any English and she used it to her advantage to get me to put lots of the plate for more money.
There are better places to try (aka Au Lac or Buffet Chay).

100k seems overpriced. 25-30k should be the regular price for that.

Very good - Edit
The food here is tasty. Towards the end of the day there’s less veggies left and mainly the mock meats. More veggies would be better 🙂

As per the title. Affordable, good food served with rice. Serving staff were a little grumpy but you get that sometimes. No English spoken.

Delightful place to eat - Edit
This was a delightful place to eat. The staff spoke no English but I used Google Translate to simply ask for vegetables - quite a wide brief! The server showed us a plate of rice and vegetables, and we nodded yes. My, my, my was that food delicious. It was a medley of all sorts of things including tofu, mock meat, crispy noodles and several other vegetables. There was a large portion of rice, a bowl of soup, and a jug of dilute juice too. All this for 27,000 dong each!

Good vegan place with locals - Edit
We had the classic"com dia" (plate of steam rice with a buffet of mock meat and veggies also served with a soup) that only costed us 20k each, very cheap compared to some places we had it. The food was really good. No tourists, only locals. Offered different type of foods but didn't have any left cause we came late

Really cheap. About 1$ for rice with different toppings. But you can’t understand what you eat, coz there is no description and staff doesn’t speak English.

Streetkitchen with full vegan menu - Edit
Simple place with great food. We sat next to a nice local, that helped us ordering. We had rice, soup, veggies, tofu, jackfruit and some mock chicken with lemongrass. It was all very delicious. They offer a big variety of vegan dishes. We can totally recommend this if you want to eat authentical vietnamese vegan food.

We went to this place at about 3 pm since our flight came in a bit late and it’s still open. We had plenty of food for about $5 total.

I managed to get here just before they started closing, this was around 8:15pm. Not much English is spoken, if any, but you can point to what you want out of the buffet. Though I think they just fill up your plate with whatever! 20k for a plate full of buffet goodness, soup and free green tea.

As little to no English is spoken, I pointed at one or two things that I definitely wanted and they filled up the rice plate with a variety of stuff. Some of it was pretty good and others not fantastic, but overall a pretty good feed for 18,000 dong.
Read moreSome other customers were eating noodle soups, but wasnt aware of that option as no menu board or anything.
There are jugs of free iced tea on the tables, but I noticed the glasses provided are constantly reused without washing. The guy serving took a break and lit up a cigarette near us too.
If things like that don't bother you and you just want a cheap feed I'd recommend it. Haven't found too many of these kind of places near the main tourist accommodation centre unfortunately.
Pros: Cheap / Good value, Variety

Great set up. All the food is set up and displayed for you to pick. The staff have no English but you simply just have to point to what you want. We picked several things, which was accompanied by rice and a side soup with beansprouts and other greens. All came to 20.000VND each. Really really delicious 😋

Had a really nice meal here and it was very good value too. Usual rice + various mock meat (the lemongrass drumstick thing was amazing!) and veg selections, and they do noodle soups & spring rolls etc. too. Really good value and friendly staff. Would definitely return.
