Would be a 5 if I was allowed to rank not fully veg resturants 5 on Happy Cow :)

INCREDIBLE!! Peasant Pies is a great resturant (a top spot worth a stop ifs you're in the area!!) and also happens to be the highest rated vendor among those offered via BearBuy at UCSF in terms of sustainability and diversity.

The food speaks for itself:
Delicious, handcrafted hand-held pies-the baking on the exterior is craveable and the interior flavorful, crafted from locally sourced, well-spiced and delicious ingredients.

Final note: the Team, from Ali to head baker, is AMAZING!!! They put their hearts into it, and it shows. I couldn't reccomend more highly

Pros: Team has heart and really care about what they do, Sustainable and diverse buisness, Delicious food and great prices

Cons: Wish there was more detail on ingredient sourcing

So good

We usually get three pies to share and a side salad. They have two very good vegan pies, I honestly really like both. The greens salad is pretty good too. I wish that there was a vegan dessert pie.

Pros: Fast service, Great food

Cons: No outdoor seating, Need a few more options

good pie, limited options

The pie with the lentil filling which was very good. They freshly heat the pie in the oven.

Unfortunately, they have only two savoury vegan pie and no sweet ones.

Pros: good pie

2 great vegan handpies

They bake handpies, inspired by French fishermen's food that they kept in their pockets while fishing. They make both savory and sweet handpies but only two are vegan -- both savory. The Garbanzo Bean Curry Pie is lovely either warm or cold. The Lentil and Yam pie includes onions & cumin for an Indian-inspired flavor.

Pros: tasty, fast, convenient hours

Cons: want more vegan pies!, and a vegan dessert pie!
