Wow, don't miss it! - Edit
Food was incredible tasting-plant based organic whole foods cooked with little to no oil. Healthy and hearty! We shared the "momos" steamed veggie dumplings and had the modest (medium) plate. The plate featured delicious millet pilaf, collards with a shitake leek sauce, yellow split peas, mixed steamed veggies with a different succulent sauce, and spring mix salad with a fruity dressing. YUM! After that, there was no room for the tempting desserts! I wish this place was closer to my house because I'd be there weekly. The atmosphere is very pleasant too.

Healthy, comforting, simple macrobiotic food - Edit
Really lovely restaurant serving macrobiotic vegan food. Perfect for those following the whole foods/plant-based diet. Their food is fairly low in salt, which I really appreciated. They do use small amounts of oil. They are so kind and welcoming. What a great spot to get something akin to what my health-conscious family eats at home. Very welcome and comforting to encounter this kind of food while traveling. I also love that they offered local kombucha from Koast kombucha, a brand I didn’t encounter anywhere else on my trip.

Happy Cow introduced us to this wonderful new restaurant.
Read moreAbsolutely delicious, clean food in an unassuming location on Solano Avenue. Nothing quite like it.
Patron determines portion size and that gets served more than you can possibly consume in one sitting.
Very flavorful. More than reasonably priced.

Friendly, Clean, Cute, Organic, Tasty - Yes Please - Edit
I was greeted by a super sweet man who helped me decide on a lunch selection. I ordered the rice, greens, and salad. Tea and soup came with my order. I also had a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was great: the food, the charming dining room, the healthy/vegan options, and the friendly conversation. Although there was a limited menu, I loved the food.

Delicious vegan food in a relaxing atmosphere - Edit
We are thrilled to have a vegan restaurant in Berkeley serving a whole foods meal that is healthy, beautifully presented, and tasty. The fixed menu changes daily for lunch and dinner (closed Tuesdays), and they offer three portion sizes. The plates feature a balanced array of vegetables, proteins (different varieties of beans or lentils), rice/quinoa and salad with a variety of sauces and flavors. For dessert they offer key lime pie and similar coconut/cashew/avocado-based pies and cookies. Help yourself to the twig tea and relax in the calm environment.

Lovely ambience and presentation of the food. Makes you feel nourished and calm. I found it a tad salty but others in my group didn’t. Healthy but with no sacrifice to flavor.

A new favorite. - Edit
Since discovering Peace Natural Vegan Food a couple of months ago my wife and I have been making regular treks to Albany to pick up their food. We live in the Outer Avenues of SF, so it’s not a quick and easy trip. This goes to show how much we enjoy this place. If you’re a vegan who’s looking for delicious whole food based dishes and not a bunch of ultra-processed faux meats, I highly recommend this place. The staff are incredibly nice, the food is great, and it honestly gives me vibes of my early vegan days from 20 years ago. As their name says, it’s a warm and peaceful spot to have a good meal. It truly is our new favorite vegan spot and I can’t recommend it enough.

Feel nourished and calm - Edit
This is a traditional Himalayan Buddhist restaurant with pre fixe menus offered by size. The owner, Palden, (see history of a Lama with the same name in Tibet) previously owned Potala. This restaurant is expanded to include more options including momos! It also has a lovely group room that honors the Tibetan Buddhist spirit.
Read moreThe food is consistently fresh, macrobiotic, and organic. Desserts are sugar free.
I recently hosted a group lunch for 14 people. Palden handled everything with ease and grace.
I always leave here feeling nourished in body and soul.
Parking is easy. There is a sister Tibetan shop right next door.
Pros: Healthy, Relaxing , Gracious

Delicious Whole Vegan Food - Edit
This is a new restaurant and I’m so glad they opened. They are close to Shangrila Buddha which has similar food but I am going to make a point of frequenting both. Peace Natural has cookies which the other doesn’t but they both have pies and delicious wholesome food. I love the format of lots of greens, a bean or legume, a grain and roasted vegetables. The grain this time was millet which I haven’t had at this style of restaurant before. They also have 3 plate sizes which is new to me. Very tasty. I highly recommend Peace Natural Vegan Food.

Amazing Vegan food!! - Edit
Delicious, whole, healthy, and vegan Tibetan food! I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous as everything looked like “health” food but it was NOT bland. Many places think that food being healthy means it should have no seasoning or aroma, but not here. Everything is flavorful, cooked well, the different dishes’ flavors go together in harmony, and the service was wonderful!

A 12/10 high recommendation from someone who doesn't normally eat fresh, healthy food - Edit
Wow, I'm not normally a fan of super healthy food, but everything we got from this place was amazing!! My partner has been on a health kick and even though I wasn't sure about trying this place, I decided to give it a go.
Read moreI called in an order for pick-up and the person at the phone was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Generous to split with my partner, which is the soup plus all five of the entrees. I realized as I got home that I should definitely have gotten two orders as I was starving and could have eaten everything.
Especially since everything was SO good! The entire meal looked very fresh and colorful, which was lovely.
The soup was the French Lentil and Mixed Vegetables -- amazing. Exactly what I needed on that chilly day.
The other entrees were:
- Rice Patty with Onion and Shiitake Sauce -- I wasn't sure what this was but it was just that. A patty of rice with onion and shiitake sauce. It was my favorite!
- Pinto Beans with Garlic and Onion -- Simple but delicious!
- Sautéed Burdock, Carrots, Daikon, Green Beans, and Red Beets with Dill, Ginger, and Onion -- Okay, I wasn't sure about this one because I don't like beets and I'm picky when it comes to veggies as I like it cooked where it's soft but not too soft. Well, this was just that! And whatever seasoning they used was very good. It actually reminded me of my grandma's cooking. Perfect.
- Collard Greens and Kale with Brown Mushroom and Kabocha Sauce -- Whatever sauce they used for this was BOMB. I also don't tend to like collard greens very much but I ate this upppp.
- Mixed Greens with Avocado, Basil, Lemon Juice, and Agave Dressing -- The dressing for this? *chef's kiss*
All in all, this place was a 12/10. I would definitely recommend it, and this is, again, coming from someone who normally doesn't like eating "healthy" food. But this place showed me that fresh, healthy food can definitely be hearty and delicious. I can't wait to come back and dine in!

Peace Natural is wonderful! - Edit
Peace Natural is wonderful. I work near by so this is my lunch Go-to spot now to get a healthy vegan meal. The fact that the menu changes daily, one will never get bored eating here. They know how to cook legumes perfectly so you can get your plant based protein without additives, and the salad dressings are made fresh daily as well as all items on the plate. Nothing from a jar or a can served here, just High Quality Fresh Vegan Food. They even mill their own almond flour for the cookies! Clean restaurant, perfect lighting, great value, friendly service.

Love the food and the changing menu - Edit
We loved our meal at Peace natural vegan restaurant. They change the menu every meal so when you order you get everything they have which was soup, salad, and four sides in whichever portion size you choose. Modest the smallest was plenty big for us. So delicious and healthy. A great alternative to the junk food style vegan places I sometimes go to. This is the food I wished I made every day for myself! My grandson is a toddler and it was perfect for him too. They were so nice and friendly. We will be going back 😍

100% Vegan, 100% Organic, 100% Delicious! - Edit
Peace is a wonderful addition to the Berkeley dining scene! The chef/owners, Palden and Gyatso, are super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is beautiful and calming. Their food is delicious and healthy. The menu changes twice each day, and you can order either a Modest or Generous meal that includes soup and all five dishes. For lighter eaters, they also offer a Trio meal where you get soup and choose three of the dishes. There is a nice selection of vegan, organic wines, beers, and kombucha to accompany your meal, as well as free tea. They also have a few snacks, like fresh rolls and momos, and their desserts are over-the-top yummy! No matter how much we eat, we always have room for a slice of the key lime pie! I know we'll be returning again and again to enjoy this sensational restaurant!

Wonderful New Vegan Restaurant - Edit
We went to a wonderful new restaurant on Solano Avenue in Berkeley a few days ago – Peace Natural Vegan Food. It's vegan and organic – super healthy and delicious! When we walked into the restaurant, it felt like entering a different world, very calm and beautiful. The owners are lovely, super friendly and warm. The desserts look fantastic. We only tried the key lime pie and chocolate key lime pie which were superb! Can't wait to try the others. I'd strongly recommend this restaurant if you want a peaceful, tasty, nutritious dining experience.
