Ok snack 😊

They have three vegan pastries options, both savoury and sweet. I had the veggie one and it was fresh and good for a quick snack. 😊

Not bad for a quick vegan snack on the beach

It was the only vegan food option I found on Barra da Lagoa Beach. There are two flavors of vegan pastéis: Pastel Salgado Vegano (savory) and Pastel Doce Banana c/ Canela (sweet, with banana and cinnamon). I tried the savory one, which wasn't the best pastel I've ever had, but it was good enough. If I'm not mistaken, it was filled with tomato, onion, and olives. The sweet pastel is not marked as vegan, but I confirmed with the waitress that it's also fully plant-based. I recommend these pastéis accompanied by Caldo de Cana (sugarcane juice, a delicious traditional Brazilian drink), which they also serve. Not bad for a quick snack on the beach.

At the time of our visit, the place was noisy and cramped. They were actually carrying out renovations, so hopefully it's gonna be better soon.
