5 Stars!!!! - Edit
We loved everything! We were walking by and the smoothie sign caught my attention and then the owner came out and said hello and spoke English. We went in with the intention of just getting the 2 smoothies, but then I saw a chocolate cookie and the food in the case looked amazing so we sat at a table while our smoothies were being blended. We ended up getting the spinach pie, the vegetable roll, the lentil empanada, the berry blast and detox smoothies and the chocolate cookie. While at the table we looked at the menu and now we have every intention of going back for dinner and probably some takeaway for our train ride to Seville. It’s that good!! The owner is super sweet and speaks very good English. You can tell the food is made with love. Highly recommend you seek this simple restaurant out and have an amazing delicious meal!

Lots of vegan options, tasty - Edit
Location was great for me so went twice! Spoke English well to explain vegan menu. Things were labeled but her explaining made me feel confident that it was vegan. We tried green bean soup (delish) falafel platter (excellent salad, falafel is the fluffy kind which means some people love and some prefer denser. Hummus is regional type, maybe less tahini?) filo wrapped tofu, and fresh juices. Cute vibe. Yum food. They do serve Lots of couples, variety of seating options. But don’t think any outdoor. We also went back later to get desserts for take out. There are multiple vegan baklava options, and vegan cake/pies.

Wonderful food! Higly recommended ❤️ - Edit
There is another address: C. Horno de la Merced, 115, Centro. More space to sit!
Read moreOne of the restaurants with the best vegan options I've ever been to! It has a complete vegan menu, with different types of food, from Arabic to burger. It also has desserts, juices and lemonades. Everything is homemade, with no processed or artificial foods. There are also gluten-free options. Everything is run by the local Guacyra (if I'm not mistaken), who is very friendly and attentive. Una reina!
The main thing is that everything was delicious! It's real food, a treat for the stomach. We had empanada, bourek, harira, stuffed eggplant, burger, soy pie, spring roll, pistachio pie and a cocoa sweet. We also had the mint lemonade.
If you're in Granada and you're vegan/vegetarian, this restaurant is a must-see. Especially if you're tired of eating falafel and hummus every day (which are also on the menu, by the way, and must be definitely great).
Anyway, the place is a gem. You can feel that everything is made with a lot of love. Thank you, Papas Elvira!
Obs: It’s sad that happy cow doesn’t allow 5 starts for restaurants that are not vegetarian 100%. It ignores the context of each place and also the efforts of the small businesses to spread the veg culture. Cows are not “happy” also with the milk being taken from them, so why vegetarian ones can have 5 stars? For me Papas Elvira is a 5 star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delicious - Edit
Had the stuffed eggplant and lentil soup. Both were fantastic. The eggplant was stuffed with couscous and veggies. The lentil soup was probably my favorite— it was well seasoned and not too assertive.
Read moreThe restaurant is extremely small and seating was a bit chaotic. We went in the afternoon on a Thursday after a visit to the Alhambra and there was about a 15 minute wait for a table. Pros: Many vegan options, Inexpensive, Friendly
Cons: Very limited seating, In direct view of the garbage bins

Friendly, tasty and cheap - Edit
Papas Elvira is a surprisingly small and inexpensive little place, fairly centrally located on a street (from which it gets it’s name) near the Cathedral. The Menu is somewhat small and meals have components in common, but it is mostly vegan/vegetarian-actually, and everything we tried was simple but delicious! There is a selection of pastries (savoury and sweet) as well as hot meals and a take out menu. The dishes themselves are varied and include a vegan lasagna, salad Elvrida and vegan burger, ect. Plus smoothies, hot drinks, cold drinks and when we went, a brilliant homemade lemonade. But the best thing about papas Elvrida was the proprietor. The woman who served us was absolutely lovely: friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. We were even given free

I've been in Spain for 2 moths now for an Erasmus program and it was the first time I have found a vegan Tortilla de Patatas for 3 euros!!! I also had an Empanada con Calabaza [with pumpkin] and oh Lord, it was the best thing I've eaten for a very long time. Definitely 5 STARS!!!
I'd love the local to be bigger to eat in a big, open space with friends!😒
